@Errisa: Aha, yeah, but my mom's friend's husband explained it to me later; it was a policy thing since it was like a private hotel.
Ah, well, I brought one --I always carry one or two books with me wherever I go [my phone is too old to play apps, but I would generally always read anyways]. The one I brought with me has been a favorite for over fifteen years --I initially read it in middle school, and later found out that it was a bestseller and that a film had been made for it. I bought a copy of the book just last week, and had finished the book I last read around that time ["The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane" and before that, "Gregor the Overlander"]. I had already started "Watership Down", but it's not a book you can finish in a day, so I just took it with me. I'm about two-thirds or three-fourths in, currently. It's very good, and I'm looking forward to rereading the shorter sequel [it's mostly short tales, as opposed to the singular great story of the first book].
I'm guessing you like Inkheart. That sounds familiar... I don't think I've read the book, but I might have seen a film adaptation?
Yeeeah... I wouldn't recommend it. The plot was that there were two boys and a girl who were friends, and the boys both liked the girl. She was sent away as a child, and in a contest between the gods, the deities made a bet on which boy would win the girl's heart. Anyways, the boys later grew up and the girl returned, and they proceeded to woo her, but then one of the gods cheated and tricked one of the guys into dying.
In the underworld, the guy realizes that he's been tricked, and he tries to right the wrongs caused by the bet, as well and find a way to revive himself...or something. I kinda stopped before the end. *facepalm* My friends and I were all watching it together because we'd initially rented it for one of the kids.
Ah, for the queen? But I don't know if that'd be dignified. XD
@Lacrimosa: No, I just don't pay attention. *facepalm*
Yeah, I get that. I'm kinda shy IRL, but also kinda not. *facepalm* It's like I'll hesitate to talk to new peeps at first, but after a while, you can't shut me up. XD
I feel like I communicate better online since I do alright with the written word and have time to think about my responses. IRL, I'm kind of a klutz, but I have a lot of character, so people are generally amused by me. We have a tradition of stating word descriptions for people on their birthdays among my friends, and I always get a lot of "funny" "child-like" and "intellectual". Go figure. XD
Yeah, once I get my desk, I'll call my cousin over and have him look at for me. He says I don't clean it properly.
I definitely prefer having a desktop.
Coli works on the iPad, but it's kinda awful to do it there, so I generally just wait until I'm able to use my desktop again. The last time I tried was during the nocturne event.
Niiice.
