I did a little research, and apparently there's a few subspecies that have varying intensities of hood colours? Like, the Nordic Jackdaw versus the Daurian Jackdaw (which seems to look almost like a magpie)? It could also be the way the light is sitting in this photo. ;o

Ahh, it'll be the baby ruff that makes it look so fluffy then. <3 It's adorable.

No no Lozzie the bird in the photo is an adult. Sully's still got his baby ruff. :p
But Daurian Jackdaws are a whole different story than Eurasian Jackdaws...

Guys, I just about finished my next Knuffel. ^_^

@Merrymaking: I try the propeller on the top of head but than it go off the page. I can't make it big to fit the head light. I am going to redo the last 3 stages since I don't like how the propeller look or her final stage. It so simple that it not a final. Those thing under the wing are suppose to be tuber engine. Going to take my time since their like a million new knuffel every time I release mine. So I won't submit it for another month or so.

Aah, haha okay. Then squee, if the bird in that photo is fluffy then I can't imagine what Sully must be like. <33
Oh yeah definitely. There's just so many different types! And I was just getting used to identifying the separate species of corvids! :mcdead:

Ooh, I'm excited! :mccute: I can't wait!

Sully is losing all his baby ruff at the moment, I keep finding cute little fluffy feathers everywhere. :p
You only really see the difference when he goes chick mode though. :D

Hahaha there are like 50 different species, but I can't always tell the difference. Take the Corvidae Pica Hudsonia and the Corvidae Pica Pica for example - the Black-Billed Magpie and the Eurasian Magpie - I've been looking at those pictures for ages and I still can't tell the difference xD
And there are so many others that look exactly the same...

D'awww! You should totally keep them, and make jewellery or something out of them or something. *w*

I guess as with a lot of things, it would probably be easier in some cases to examine the birds in person. But, I do wonder if there's any books out there specifically catering to corvids?
