It's my husbands birthday on sunday and we're going to celebrate tomorrow and sunday :] He's turning 30 (old as dirt as he says) I spent most of the day baking him a cake and making some side dishes to take to his family tomorrow.

It's just what I do. I make everyone a cake for their birthday - in the family anyways. :]

what kind of cakes do you make? do you make them all the way from scratch or do you use a mix?

Hehe, I feel the same about this avi but I'm kind of bored with most of what I have so I have to wait until something inspires me.

I make all different kinds of cake and I try to make them from scratch. I made him a lemon cake with cream cheese frosting. I wanted to do a marshmallow frosting - but I don't have one of those torches and they're not affordable right now and without toasting the marshmallow it just wouldn't have been the same.
