And then I got upset and smithed another one and got the 3 hours timer.

@Rosamond, Yeahh I think drops are people's best friend while the smithing is everyone's enemy. Unless the smithing decides to be nice for once. xD

The smithing is rarely nice. I just tried it for the hell of it and got just 1:30. It's so mean.
