I always have my own watermark on my art.
I put it in a place where even if you tried to delete it, it would be noticeable....and by removing it you would be taking away a piece of the art either way.
I always try to incorporate my watermark into the picture.

normally I draw her with larger ears, sorta like a Fennec, but I'm trying to work on changing her appearance into something more...believable?

I don't know if I'd particularly flattered if someone actually had a gallery and was claiming one of my pictures. But if I happen into an RP and someone was actually using one of my pics as a "character" I'd probably laugh and join the RP with another pic of same character for shiz&giggles. I guess I should care more, but I don't tend to be very happy with my own stuff.

CRUD! I've lost my jump-drive that had my story chapters and art. First time, I lose files from not saving to the jump-drive, now it's the other way around ._.

That's probably a good way to be. I sometimes feel kind of nervous or guilty for using other people's art in RPs, but most of the time I don't have a picture that'll work for the character I'm playing. I try to use pictures from games or animes. That way it seems like I avoid ripping off pictures of people who aren't like published or whatnot.

Whether or not I draw a character for an RP is determined by how interesting it is...and whether or not I wish to participate in it for a while.
It's been a long time since I was in an RP that was interesting to me, though.

this one that scares and confuses me...
Oh, it's not me actually! It's just the sim creating mod, not a game mod yet. The creating mod looks like a changing room and there's a mirror there. I just cropped the screenshot and left only the girl. I'll put her in game to experiment with views from above and behind and some more light falling from different sides and different colors of the light too. Probably, lol.
I once used a picture of an awesome artist to represent my character. I didn't claim it, I just "used without permission", so yeah, I'm a criminal. XD
But it was the closest image I could find for my OC at that time.

A lot of them die pretty quick too it seems like... It doesn't really make sense to make a character for an RP for it to just die in a week or less...
