I have someone I follow on Twitter who is a ghostwriter and people are always treating them poorly. Like apparently someone gave them a description for a story they wanted and gave them an option between two plot points. They get 70k words in and the boss decides they want to go with the other plot point. So now the writer is gonna have to completely rewrite the whole thing.

That's just so crazy to me. I feel like that should be against the rules, you know?
