You are blind yourself, but you have a telepathic connection to your cat which allows you to see through its eyes - so in effect you have cat vision that you can also use to look somewhere without being seen, since you can send the cat alone. That does leave you in a vulnerable state though, since you can't see your direct surroundings then, so you have to use that possibility wisely!
