Yeah, The donuts draw randomly. Most of the time you don't get any but suddenly get 2 or 5 donuts.

I've gotten 4 donuts since the last caravan ended.

I've only ever gotten 3 at a time at the most. But they do add up when you're active posting, between Grog visits!

I need to do a lot more talking, I guess. I want all of the newest item... which would take a LOT of donuts. 750, I think.

I have 15 now. *sigh*

On the other hand, did you see Firn's comment on the subject? I asked if, since all the new items were more donuts, if that was a permanent trend and items were all going to be more expensive now for balance, or if it was coincidence, and she said it just happened to turn out like that and it wasn't a permanent trend.
So, huzzah!

I figured the hair was more expensive because its a more elegant than the others.

I think she said wings and hair and... hang on, let me go dig that out. She named some item categories and said those ones will always be priced a little higher.
