And I strongly sympathize with you, I felt like that when I came back from Okinawa. And that with proper sunscreen. I don't understand my skin, I've been at the beach all summer (though to be honest I got sunburnt almost every single time ^^)

Okinawa?! My mom was stationed there when I was very little, I've always wanted to go back!

And yelch don't get me started on the sun and my skin... I'm allergic.

I'm actually going back there next month :p
My boyfriend loves southern islands. And he loves diving. So basically Okinawa is his dream place and I've fallen in love too.
Well, I've fallen in love with Japan as a whole but Okinawa is special.

If you're allergic, it's a good thing your family left Okinawa, the sun can kill you. (words taken from my boyfriend)

But I don't believe you had much of a choice had you? I mean, I wouldn't have chosen the place I lived before but I was born there and then found a job. Even now I didn't exactly plan on living in Tokyo but I met someone so I stayed in the same city he lives in. (Even though he dreams of living in Okinawa XD)

I lived in California, my husband (fiance at the time) lived in Washington state.
Couldn't find work in WA, couldn't find housing in CA, father in law offered to fly us down to Texas and... yeah here we be. I hate it.

The only part of me that properly burns is my face :s
My face is extra sensitive to everything. However, I do tan very quickly and I get really dark. It's such a pain to get rid of the tan. Takes me 5 mins to get it and 5 months to rid of it.

I read that as 'my boyfriend loves digging,' and I was wondering what he's trying to dig up in Okinawa haha.

I get rashy in the sun but only my face so usually all summer I stay indoors. I really stay indoors regardless of seasons now that I think about .-. /hermit queen.

Summer in Aus is very DRY. Just dry. Everything makes you dry. Dry and arid it be. Not so much humid.

Yeah I get rashy all over and welty for days, even weeks after minutes of sun exposure... I'm a freaking vampire XD

I just realized that while I said I was going to buy the trial knuffel, I never did come back and confirm it. I did buy the earth trial knuffel, and now I only have four more knuffel to go before I have all the little cuties that are currently available.

I have a sun allergy too. XD It's pretty okay at this latitude, but I always end up with my face covered in blisters when I go on vacation with other people. Scandinavians tend to get hungry at noon.
