Yes, many old wives tales eventually prove to be wrong.
Some others happen to have some scientific explanation (people observed what happend despite not being able to understand it) and they become widely accepted.

What suprises me is the amount of people (even people with scientific knowledge!) that prefers thinking of conspirancies no matter what.
I knew worldwide conspirancies had an appeal for some people, but I did not think they were that many.

@Akili:
Yeah, of course I priviledge my own opinion. I know I'm always right xD
But we all should always realized we are always biased. Our own experiences wire us to think in certain ways.

But maybe because I like debating I don't understand how people assume so strong a position when it comes to point "facts".
Weeeeell, you bring out this or that doctor who says something and you play the "authority" card with him, but you disregard inmediately all the other authorities which point something different. Hmmm. Tricky.

Actually I try to avoid any COVID related discussion IRL.
They go nowhere.

I've experienced pain a lot in my life. Stomach pain is pretty frequent.
Imagine someone having stomach pain and me telling them to quit whining because there's no way it hurts that bad.
That's so rude xD

I like some conspiracy theories. There's been some where people actually made good points and it surprised me ._.

You can't disregard completely a conspiracy, that's why those theories are appealing.
But still you gotta be very cautious when you make a theory based only on your opinions or your understanding of how the world works.

They may sound interesting, but they are usually full of flaws.

I remember this one school shooting, a lot of people believed it to be a hoax.
I watched a few people explain why they thought it was a hoax and one guy was pretty convincing.
The bad thing is when it's not a hoax and people suffered and you're telling them they're faking it xD

Yeah, it's often better keeping one's mouth shut.

I'm not very good at it though, but usually in a completely different kind of situation.

I keep my mouth shut 99% of the time.
People think I'm stupid or don't know anything and it's not true.
I just don't want to spend time and energy arguing with people.

I try to stay away from controversial discussions.
Sometimes you can't help it though, and in those cases I try to remain as neutral as possible.

But I do open my mouth when I should not very often.
I'm the one with the snarky remark that some people consider out of place.
I'm the one nervously speaking a lot, unable to shut my mouth even though I realize a conversation is already dead.

I have family and friends I don't add on FB because I'm afraid they won't like the real me xD;
I'm extremely quiet irl but it's opposite online.

I avoid talking to people at all costs...I will usually nod and try to get away.
It's gotten way worse lately...
Very anxious in public.

I'll never forget my aunt being a bitch one day.
She's always a bitch so it's nothing new.
It's like...if she doesn't bitch about something every hour, she'll shrivel up and die Bu
Anyways, my sister got herself a few cookies and my aunt was bitching me out because my sister got cookies to eat. Around noon.
She was like "THAT'S NOT PROPER FOOD FOR BREAKFAST!! DON'T LET HER HAVE THOSE COOKIES!! YOU NEED TO GET HER SOME REAL FOOD FIRST!!"
So I hit my breaking point and said "Why don't you do it yourself, bitch!?" and she was like "DON'T CALL ME A BITCH!!"
You are a bitch >Bu

I absolutely do NOT 8u
I'm not the issue either - she always is.
People will tell me "You should both get along!"
>__>
>_____>

I literally sit in my room bothering no one.
She picks a fight with ME every time.
It's not ME that is the problem >Bu

Awwww so cute x3
How is Ricky doing on getting settled in?

We found out my dad is going to have a scope put down his leg so they can see the blockage and then we'll go from there.
