We're already starting to feel the presence of Typhoon Ruby. It's cloudy and windy right now. I've been closely monitoring the typhoon status from social medias and I'm thankful that it didn't caused a lot of damage on the areas where it landed last night. Thanks to the lessons learned of our kababayans last year from monster Typhoon Haiyan. They've already evacuated on safer grounds and prepared food/emergency kits as early as Wednesday.

Sounds scary
There was a cyclone Hudhud that hit Vizag recently, in the same state where I live. There was evacuation but a lot of destruction. But nothing much happened where I live except harder rain than usual. Our school collected donations for relief and the news didn't talk about anything else but that's all the impact we felt here.
Yep, Hikaru no Go is about an indoor game. But like all game anime- lots of sentimentality related to motivation and believing in yourself, lots of high-tension matched and it was SO addictive

And this is totally unrelated but I once came up with the random username 'Typhoon Tycoon.' Doesn't make any sense but I wanted to use it somewhere. Oh and you know CycloneKira? Well she mentioned in Mio's thread on names that her real name is Nisha; like 'Cyclone Catriona' there's a cyclone called Nisha!
She likes being called Kira, it's her favourite name, so her username is pretty cool ne! *ends off-topic babble*

I believe, "Typhoon" is a term given to any weather disturbances that forms in the Pacific Ocean. While "Cyclone" is given to those that forms in Indian Ocean and "Hurricane" is the name given to any weather disturbance in the Atlantic Ocean (US and Europe) XD

Anyways, we're all fine now. Typhoon Ruby has drastically weakened into a tropical storm category as it traverses my country since last Saturday. Thank God! We still have some slight drizzle here and the weather was still gloomy. But no more threat of the typhoon.
