Have you tried making it with eggnog?

/curious

(That might be a question for 'cooking mishaps', lol, but I'm not a chocolate person so hard for me to judge)

I've heard Eggnog is disgusting so I've never tried it.

well, never mind then.

(I use eggnog a LOT. It's like liquid custard, and lets you do things like dip bread in it for instant french toast, or use it to make sweet dessert rolls, or for cobbler topping or mixed into oatmeal instead of cream, or a few spoons of it in chai tea for a rich creamy taste, or making monkeybread, or as a headstart in actual custards and puddings and cake fillings.)

And icecream, and smoothies, of course.

I have drank eggnog a few times 8u

I had a dream a few months ago, where I wanted eggnog, but EVERY store was sold out.

That sounds weirdly sane, for a dream! None of the cashiers were tentacled extra-terrestrials who only spoke in Farsi, or anything?

I'm astonished at how logical that seems, is all.

I know.
I have those from time to time.
It worries me because they're realistic xD;

No, everything was normal.
I did find one eggnog carton, but it had been opened already.
So I didn't buy that one.
But I went to 5 or more stores.
All sold out.

.__.

I've never tried eggnog. It just sounds so gross that I can't give it a chance! I don't eat/drink dairy or eggs (are there real eggs in it!?), but I am sure they have a non-dairy egg-free version somewhere!

If you can look past what makes egg-nog - it really is quite tasty. I'm sure there are things out there that are simply flavored and without the dairy/eggs. I mean, you can get meat that has no meat and now I hear there's some sort of sea kelp that tastes just like bacon?

Eh, it's essentially a sweetened cream-and-eggs drink, so if you don't like either of those things why bother at all? You might find a substitute, but the thing is, generally substitutes have their own qualities which make them better suited for other stuff, and it always seems a bit wasteful to try and shove them willy-nilly into another sort of situation.

Like, a fake "hamburger" made out of beans.
That would be so much better as an actual bean patty, with appropriate spices, and not trying to be meat.

So honestly Sanssouci, as much as I love eggnog, I would not recommend it for you. You'd probably enjoy other things so much more!

(And yes, there are real eggs in it.)
