PMS BE GONEEE :qs: :qs:

Did it help? D:

My husband and I broke something today. Like, we wanted to re-program a coin-receiver thingie, we did it once for a new coin when we just bought it, buttt didn't go too well this time. Last time we got the thing to accept 200 huf, we wanted it to accept a NEW type of 100 huf coin and when we got it to accept it, the thing thought it was 200 huf.

Long story short, no success. :qlol: :qlol: Sooo, I decided I was bored with the office, hopped in the car and drove to Budapest. A whole drive with podcasts and music. It's been sooo long, damn you covid. Considered stopping by a fabric store as well, but decided against it in the end and went straight to Ikea. I was also hungry and I like their wraps. And cakes. And coffee. :) I don't like standing in line for meatballs, so haven't tasted them in my life.

Anywayssss, it was a superb day. I loved just looking around. Got some mugs I want to prettify with my sons as gifts for all the grandparents, found a neat rug on sale for my son's room, got some other nice tiny things. You know, the stuff you didn't know you were looking for untill you stopped at IKEA. They're great at that. XD But I finally found a replacement for my purple fold-up bag and this one has BLUE CATS!

When I got home, the bed sheets I ordered came and they're superb, so made the boys' beds. Feeling good now. :D

Reading your post, I just realized that I wanted to write in my previous post something about the period talk, but I got completely sidetracked by other thoughts I guess... :mcsweat:

Period talk is totally okay, we stan it, lol :mclaugh:

I'll probably suffer the pms instability for a few more days. My boobs are killing me. :mcmeh: Oh well. At least I'm on vacation for the next week. Finally! :mclove:

And what the hell is a coin-receiver? :D (P.S. It might be a stupid question 'cause it's late and I'm completely brainwashed after watching stand-up and cat videos on YT - I needed a laugh therapy, maybe, probably, lol)

Wow, sounds like you've had a productive and pleasant day! I'm low-key jealous :mclol: I'll get my shit together tomorrow, I promise :mccry:

Please, God, let me wake up at 8-ish tomorrow (I give my angels permission to slap me awake) so I can actually work on writing that website like it's my normal day of work. I don't want to fuck around anymore, I want to be gone from this corpo hell hole that I work at. Thank you, love you. Amen.

Jolien: I'm always up for period talk. Mostly ranting about them u8
I didn't know washable pads exist o_O
I bled on one of my only pairs of shorts this month.
My aunt washed them, but the stain is still faintly there Bu

I used to get the kind that had the little plastic things so you can hook them on your ears.
But I don't see many of them nowadays :\

jacobgrey: I usually stick to the same video over and over - alley at night with rain.
Around Christmas, I chose ones with Christmas music.
It made me happy and sad because Christmas is just...not fun for me anymore.
Depressing.

Mem: I was typing "Mem" and typed "Meem" instead 8u
Throw it on him. He won't forget next time >Bu/
jk xD

:\ I hope you start feeling better -hugs-

I don't think it's the official name, hence the "thingie". We sell milk, you throw in a coin, it'll give as much milk as the coin is worth. We just messed up the part that controlled that. But all fixed.

And not productive at all, it was just a fun day. :) Haven't got shit done, but it just felt good a day off by myself. ;-D

Yesssh, there are very neat washables. Similar size as throw away, maybe slightly thicker, but unnoticeable. The main reason I don't make them myself if that these have a softshell bottom? Dunno what it is. Totally leak-proof and different thicknesses. Also, cotton doesn't smell at all. compared to the throw-away one's, they're always nasty & sticky. I bought them from a local/hungarian brand (Emilla), like, wanted to support local, but there are many really. Those cups, dunno. Thought about it for a long, long time, but nah. These with tampons now and then and I'll survive. As for washing, I immediately rinse them in cold water, and when at home, I use "ossengalzeep", always have had that one for stains and they come out nicely. Cold water is the main magic trick really, that does the most.

I use a cup, when I'm not pregnant anyway XD it honestly changed my life. I have very heavy and irregular periods, once it was full-on bleed-through-three-layers-of-clothing-in-20-minutes for a full week and then "normal" level of bleeding for another two weeks straight. When that happened I only had pads with period pants, which did save my clothes a lot but even so I actually managed to go through the pants as well sometimes. So I got a cup. And now so long as I just check it regularly, I don't have any leakage. The only thing I struggle a little with is being in public toilets where you can't just wash it and your hands out immediately cuz you're in a cubicle. In those cases I can make it work so long as it's only one time every now and then XD But with the crazy period cramps I get, I don't like to go out very often on my period anyway.
/long essay about periods I didn't expect to write rofl

I might be the only person who doesn't like noise-cancelling headphones haha. I had them before at work. I don't like to not know what's happening around me. I want to hear D: Even with the in-ear buds I have, I'm always taking them out to listen to something around me more clearly. I guess I have heightened flight response, like a gazelle XD XD

I went to IKEA recently :D Got so much stuff haha. Mostly decorations for the house to make it look good to buyers, and also some (read: lots) of food and baby room stuff. I can't wait to have a new house finally so we can move in and go back to IKEA to really start decorating the nursery.
I read this article (I was actually trying to find out if this soft blanket we bought would be baby safe; I couldn't find out so it's my blanket only now >:D) which was saying how bad some IKEA stuff is. And the main conclusion was, "It's not unique because everyone has it, so you're better off going to Etsy". I was like, don't tell me what to buy for my own house or how unique it should be XD Why should I care if lots of other people have the same plant pot or dresser? If it looks nice, I want it, goddamnit XD

Ikea is great for babystuff! <3 Those bibs are great and the antilop. Also really loved the covers for the changing pad and the towels. Those big one's with a hood. <3 <3 And all the cute stuff baby won't play with in the first months/year, but are still all wanna-have-them. But true, I also have some pieces. And they're super affordable, we started off with a car full of Ikea. There are still many years to go to put aside some funds to invest in pieces you truly love, but 'till then, sitting on a couch > sitting on the floor. Lol. And most stuff does look nice. :)

Changing stuff around in the house is just great. :) Changed around the curtains in the boys' room, had to hem one and managed to hem 2 pairs of shorts today as well. :)

Giving birth was ok, but I still fear the cups. I luckily never had cramps, I usually have 2 heavy flow days where I often use double protection and after that usually just a smaller pad is enough.

@Moi: Lol, I'm pretty sure it happened to me with your name too, like I'd spell Mio instead and be like, wait, that ain't right XD

Thank you! *hugs back*

@Jolien: I get it now! (can you tell I'm so proud of myself? lol)

A day off by yourself sounds productive to me :mcwink:

@periods: I've been considering a cup and still didn't get one. I don't want to trust the washable ones or the period pants etc. Mainly because I already don't appreciate the wetness of pads in general (vaginas are gross to me, lol), so I'd rather go for something tampon-like, except I can't wear tampons because they make my cramps worse and I don't need that. But it also makes me apprehensive with the cup.
I should make excuses for a living, seems I've mastered that shit :mcargh:
:mcheh:
Anyways, a long time ago I promised myself I'd get a cup and, well, I haven't yet. Maybe this year XD Every month each pad I throw out sends me on a guilt trip :mcdead:

Jolien: The cups are weird to me ._.
They don't look like they'd go in but they do 8u
I use tampons every so often.
I like them a lot more than pads.
I didn't know how to use them for most of my life xD

jacobgrey: I heard a lot of women say they like the cups 8u

My family is noisy, so the headphones drowning them out is nice. Unfortunately, they're still loud and they try to talk to me knowing I'm using headphones >Bu

I've only been to IKEA once 8u
It doesn't exist in my town, so it was in another town.
We got lost uB
You can have quicksand in your house if you want - it'd YOURS >8u

Mem: I'm glad I caught it because I'm not the most observant person 8u
Are you feeling any better today?

@periods (lol): I actually hate and can't use tampons, they feel so uncomfortable to me. I can literally FEEL them the whole day long. But with the cup, once it goes in and settles into the right place I can't feel it at all. On the lighter flow days when I'm not worried about going and checking it every few hours, I can actually forget i'm having my period at all. I would recommend getting one just to try, why not? If you don't like it in the end, just throw it out. Mine was pretty cheap, like less than £10, and it lasted me two years already.

@jolien IKEA isn't even that cheap haha XD I don't know how it is in other countries TBF. But we spent like £500 on a crib and mattress and changing station. Other brands that I know, even really upmarket ones here, I could spend that much and get a whole furniture set including a dresser and wardrobe. But, well, my in-laws wanted to buy the crib for us and they suggested IKEA, so I was fine with it.
I already bought my "one big thing" I wanted so badly for the baby, which was the buggy XD It was actually the same cost as the furniture (rofl) but I absolutely love it and I know it's something I will use so often, so I wanted to invest in that one thing. Everything else I can now relax and be open to options or gifts from other people that they decide, because I have my one happy thing :qh: It's a converting one which goes from newborn right through to 4 years with a car seat, so I feel like I got a good deal still, and it should have cost even more except for being on sale.

People say you're not supposed to feel tampons and if you do - you put them in wrong.
I can feel them no matter what. There's a difference between feeling them and them being in wrong with me xD

It took me forever to learn how to put tampons in 8u;
I don't know if I could use the cup.
I came close to asking my aunt to help me and I did NOT want to do that xD
