The newest avatars are always the first you see on the contest page, so unless you browsed through the contest and only voted on some of the avatars previously, skipping others, the ones you haven't voted on (= the newest) will always bee the first ones you see.

so when i voted for the 100 newest avis I've got to go through them to vote for the later ones i didn't vote for.. :3?
I just thought of blending those out

Uhmm...?
When you vote through the 100 newest avatars you get displayed the 101st, which you didn't vote on yet. You don't get redirected to the newest entry once you reach 100 avatars or something like this.
I am sorry if I find this problem a bit hard to understand.

Then that's because there are no new avatars since the last time you voted.

I am wondering about something, is it on purpose that the 'next'-button shows the previous entry and the 'previous'-button shows the later entry?

Yes. Starkad at first built it the other way around, but personally, I thought it makes more sense as otherwise the "next" button would lead you to older avatars you already had rated.
