Ah, I see. I hope the rest of the probation period goes over well and he'll be able to keep the job in the long run :)

The problem with that is that you loose a ton of money in expectation by playing the lottery ;) So that might not be the best strategy :D

Maybe I can just find a winning lottery ticket that someone accidentally dropped on the ground?

Mmm, I hope he gets inspired and creates something amazing and that's what catapults you to financial comfort.
Or you.... you can do that too! But it sounds like you already have a passion you are working towards, while for some reason I get the impression that he is more sort of lost in that sense, so it seems like he is the one who most needs an inspiration.

I would agree with that. He doesn't really know what he wants to do with his life. He has some vague idea about running his own business.
I think the ideal solution for us would be if I can start making a good enough income for both of us to be comfortable via the magazine and my books. Then he could join me and work as my business manager. Then I could get back to creating things like I'm good at, and he could be running a business like he wants to. In turn, everything would become more profitable with two hands on the wheel, so we'd benefit further that way. It's a bit of a pipe dream, but I'm working towards that if it will be possible.

That sounds like a nice dream. Each being able to focus on what they like and working together :)

It didn't help that his degree is in music, which turned out to be pretty much useless :qhehe:
