Dunno, I can't say I'm affraid, but it's more that I'm a bit disgusted by them? Sorry.

Apparently they're very clean animals, but it's just they can spread diseases out in the wild. I'm not a huge pet fan, cat's are the only animals I can live with, maybe 'cause I'm just weird and a bit on my own like cats. I dig their "you can't make me a thing" attitude, lol.
Hope you'll be able to get rid of the mess soon, can imagine it to be stressful if there's still so much to do.
You'll take the rat with the cat though? Or is it a lazy cat, like the rat? O:

No worries. Many people think rats are off-putting. I think it's the tales. I was unsure of them myself until Ash's sister got rats and I touched the tails and they felt soft and adorable I fell in love
To be fair, a lot of wild animals spread diseases. Fortunately domestic rats are usually healthy (unless they have worms, but that only happens when you buy them from a pet store and not from a breeder). They also a bit smaller than the wild rats.
the mess is annoying, but it's more stressful to stop my mom's racing anxious thoughts from s[inning in her brain, telling her stuff that aren't true at all... (I just finished talking with her on the phone, it was mentally and emotionally taxing, now I'm anxious about living with her

)
the cat is a shy cat and semi-wild, she hides in all the mess because she only likes my mom XD I'll probably just have my doors closed at all times when I let Dot out. But she's not really interested in going outside of her cage, so I don't know. And I intend to keep an eye on the cat if she ever strolls into my room. I think they'll be fine. Plus it's only a few months.

We have an elderly cat that doesn't see too good so he sniffs around for food while it's right in front of him.
My Momo killed a rat like a week ago >>
She at all of it except its butt and part of its face.
I find rats and mice cute. I remember telling my dad that and he said they're not cute but disgusting xD
Bruh if it's fuzzy and smol I find it cute af u8

Very true, it's just that they try to controll swines for example and rats are just harder to catch. Also, most larger wild stuff just tends to stay away more from the people, rats just couldn't care less.
But every continent has it's own plagues, I'm sure a pet rat is different. Cats who get out, also need treatment for worms, so every pet needs it's own specific care. And if that cat is that shy, maybe it'll even be scared by the rat. ;-)

I remember when a rat got into my aunt's house and she was scared of it.
She put out traps and I felt bad because I didn't want the rat to die.
We found it in the bathroom so I grabbed it and tossed it outside.
She came home and I told her I caught it and threw it out and she was like "WHAT!? YOU GRABBED IT!? YOU'RE NOT SCARED OF THEM!?"
I told her no and she bragged about me grabbing it and tossing it out xD

Back in the day we had a dog, and once my dad told me that during their walk she suddenly chased a wild rat and completely shreded it to pieces...

I'm just glad I didn't see it with my own eyes
My grandma has mixed feelings about mice and rats. She's scared of the wild ones, but when I kind of surprised her by buying pet rats (while living with her) she scowled at first but then she looked at them and said: "aww, what cute little faces! But those tails though... XP"

But in her summer house we once had a wild mouse and it ran right past my grandma and she let out this high-pitched sound that I've never heard her make before (or after). I asked what the hell happened and she told me it was a mouse and I was like: "aww, where did it go, I wanna see

"
She got so scared of that poor little thing and I was laughing my ass off about that screech my grandma let out
We had some pig flu come back (or something else that was dangerous for pigs, idk) a few years ago, some scientists discovered they were transfered by boars and the governent decided it was a great idea to start a massive hunt and shoot all those boars to stop the disease while the hunters and environment specialists (not in the government, obv) protested that it won't solve the problem of the disease but will really shake up the ecosystem. I think they did it anyways.
I hope the cat won't suddenly become a hunter, although she did try to catch a few birds once in a while, but I don't think she actually managed. I'll be really careful with my rat baby though. She's an older rat now but I want her to live as long and as happily as possible.
HAHAHAH, that aunt XDDDD

Mem, your avatar is gorgeous ._.
Yeah, my dog has killed rats before. They're just little...rats. They look more like mice to me, but they're rats. I saw one on our swing and he was trying to get it.
I tried to hold him back while I scared it away, but he got loose and grabbed it and killed it =_=
He didn't even try to eat it >8u
He just killed it then lost interest \u8</
I'm not scared of snakes, lizards, mice, or rats. I am scared of roaches ._.

Dogs are great rat catchers. Apparently ferrets are great at rat catching as well.
Pig flu is a huge problem almost everywhere. It's been around for a long time, but sometimes I don't really get those specialists. Boars haven't had natural enemies in many places for a long, long time, a sow can get up to 10-12 little one's 2 times a year. The flu will help with containing, but since there are also farms, it is a problem when it gets there. I think hunting would be the better solution, but well. Who am I?
They'll never be able to shoot them all though...
All this ecosystem regulating, first stop flying, traveling so much. Buying the biggest cars. The Netherlands really are a joke with their nature in my opinion, I think the country would be better off calling itself a city and get over it. >.> All this recreating nature, it's all landscaping, like a big garden. But everything should be free and live and reproduce as it wants. But stay inside the lines. Joke. >.>
Anywaysss... Something else to chat about? :D

Uhhh...I almost choked to death in my sleep 8u
Not really, but I was coughing while dreaming so I thought I was just dreaming but I feel a cough in my throat xD
Also, I got to hear the cat that looks like my Momo and Toffee the calico meow last night 8D
They sound so cute x3
I was also sitting on the sofa last night and I patted it and was telling Sabre to hop up so I could pet him. I was saying it so sweet and cute.
He didn't budge until I said "Sabre, get your ass up on the couch >Bu/" and he jumped up there.
My mom told me he wanted to be told firmly xD

Eh, don't die just yet. Sounds kinda scary. O.x
It's always neat when cats listen. Though I often think it's more a coincidence, lol. Cats are usually stubborn. The little one here is still around, really should get some anti flea/worm stuff.
