Google stinks for medical advice. O.x Luckily my colleague is a GP, so I can sometimes ask her about medical stuff. <3 <3
Even though she's not practising at the moment, she does still know a lot or at least know what to think off. Not like, stabs = death.
But yeah, apparently it's a very common problem with baby's. Mom's milk does help with it, but babies when born, are kinda sad. A partly done project, the entire part that should keep food down, partly works. So often they cry because of that, milk comes up, they swallow it, but this time with acid and after a while it can be super painful. Most babies grow over it though.
Aren't there any types of food you avoid to get less refluxes? Or would the list be too long? Sad that there's no real cure. :>
Do ask a doctor about the pains though, and in case of doubt, search for another doctor. There's so much in the stomach area which could be painful, maybe there is a cure. :)

@Moi: But... but... I want to return the kindness
I think the same. It would be nice to either get diagnosed with what I suspect I have or with anything else that would explain my issues. It would be easier to deal with them if I knew the proper label and symptoms and possible aids.
Yeah, my first thought was that it can't be appendix, that shit bursts very quickly. And unexpectedly.
@Jolien: I don't know if there are any dietary restrictions, tbh. No one ever told me anything about it XD But I'm guessing we should avoid anything too acidic, like too much fruit, sauerkraut, pickled stuff...

*rolls in, ninja style*
Appendix apparently hurts a lot, but sometimes it can be a mid-term issue.
My father has been suffering from appendicits since April, just got surgery last week. So, nope, not always quick.
*tries to leave discreetly, but stumbles over a chair*
Ooops.

*jumps out of skin* oh dear, my poor rabbit heart!

Welcome to my rabbit hole! *confetti rain*
Oh, that's interesting, I've only heard of the quick cases. My mom's burst in one day when she was 4, my granny's sister also one day. Not too long ago my cousin (who had a baby not even a month before) had it burst, also out of the blue.
I love how kofk conversations turn educational
*gasps* Are you okay?

Very educational indeed
I had never heard of such a case either.
In my father's case it took him a bit longer going to the hospital (hospitals are tricky right now), and the appendix was so swollen that got so stuck to the intestine. So they controlled it with antibiotics and waited until it got unstuck.
But yeah, he lived with an appendicitis for four months.
Kinda scary, if I'm honest.
Perfectly.
I'm so used to stumbling that I hardly notice it anymore

Sounds like a ticking time bomb in your dad's belly!
Hahaha, same. I never know how I got my bruises, so I suppose I'm clumsy and don't pay attention to the things I stumble over

Exactly!
It could evolve into a peritonitis at any moment, but apparently the surgery at that point was more risky than that.
You gotta trust the doctors, they know their thing, but even so it was scary.
Me too!
I'm very clumsy, truth be told.
And I have a high tolerance to pain, meaning I don't notice plenty of things that would hurt to other people.
So it's just natural my legs show plenty of different shades of purple-violet-yellowish marks.

Thank God it didn't get worse
I have some issues with doctors, but I have no idea why. I avoid them, even when I know I should see one (or two, lol). I always think they don't care.
I wouldn't say my pain tolerance is high. I often say "ouch" when things don't hurt, like when I touch something cold. Or when I bump one thing into the other XD Then Ash looks at me funny
Lol, just yesterday I told Ash I can't wear shorts even if I feel like it, because my legs are bruised all over and it looks ugly

I don't suppose anybody enjoys doctors.
I tend to prefer taking care of myself rather than going to the doctor, but mostly because it feels like a waste of time. And because I'm kinda lazy for this kind of things.
I got diagnosed hypothyrodism two years ago and I'm not specially happy with my medical provider, but it took me this long to get an appointment with an endocrinologist (who will see me late on september).
Pain tolerance is a flaw.
People usually think it's a good thing, cause hardly anything hurts. But sometimes it's better when it does.

Jolien: Google and the medical system are working together! Google tells people they're gonna die so they go to the doctor and pay tons of money to get saved \>8u/
I think anything can cause acid for me xD
You know, my dad's ex-wife got really sick and had part of her stomach and intestines removed, I think. I don't know what happened to her, but I remember her telling me the story and we showed each other our scars and told stories xD
Mem: Don't worry about 8ub
It's good to get validation. I know when I say "I think I have ___" people just roll their eyes and dismiss me.
Pretty sure it may be my ovary. My mom has had numerous cysts on hers but I don't know if it's like...hereditary 8u
Amura: I remember when it first started, I told my mom or dad I thought it was my appendix and they said it wasn't because if it was, I'd be in agony xD
I think I have a decently high pain tolerance. I remember telling this dental assistant I broke off a tooth and didn't feel it. She said "Wow! You must have a high pain tolerance o___O"
I'm extremely clumsy and constantly get hurt so I think I'm used to pain xD;
