It'd been fine for years until it went ballistic over that and only that
And said viruses, since they wouldn't stop until one got off Firefox, slowed down the computer to a crawl

Oh boy, so good thing I switched. Gonna uninstall since I don't use it anymore.

I'd say uninstall cuz you don't use it

Mom's laptop also has Kaspersky, and it never went ballistic for her, and she has Firefox open to its home page too

It is. We never figured out why it happened in the first place

Maybe it was from something else and infected ff?

Could be, doubt that ff would actually contain a malware in its original state.

It's possible, but we'll never find out for sure now

Yeah that's why it sounds iffy to me haha


maybe a pop up happened and clicked without realising

I know as a kid I did that on my first pc

I kept downloading random stuff and must have had a computer full of viruses as a kid.
