Why are people stupid enough to badmouth people in front of them? If you're going to be a prick, wait until they are gone. I admit, I complain about people if they do stupid things, but I always omit their name or personal details, so it's just "I can't believe someone in general did something this stupid, and I hope they don't do it again".

They seem like they definately had to be there, so the least they could do was behave and get it over with. It's not like they were strapped to a chair and had their teeth drilled into for no reason, with no anesthetic.
