Aw cuties. I just hope that they don't get flooded into the mud! D:

EDIT:

Actually, the frogs and turtle may be okay. But I hope the fish don't get washed up into the mud. That would be terrible.

Why is the turtle so elusive?

Nah, they tend to stay out in the deep part so they'll be fine :3

I guess it's shy? XD I haven't even been able to get a picture of it because we hardly ever see it and when we do it disappears so fast

LOL. That's a shame. I love turtles. If I saw one, I'd get super excited and want a picture of it. How do you know its the same turtle every time?

I suppose there could be multiple, but we've never seen multiple at once so there's no way to know :mclaugh:
I'm not sure if snapping turtles are territorial though?

Apparently, those guys are hella mean. So I'd probably leave it alone if you happen upon one.

Yeah, we're not planning to bother it :mclaugh: They're only mean when caught out of the water though, and ours never seems to go further than sunbathing on the rocks at the edge :qsml:

Oh, your elusive turtle is a snapping turtle? xD;; How did that guy make it into your pond?

I dunno, it's been here longer than we have :mclaugh: Apparently they'll travel quite a distance if their old habitat is disturbed, so I guess it decided the pond was a good place to live!
There's also a couple ponds farther down the road, so maybe it came from one of those originally? The lake's not too far away, either.

xD Holy crap. That's a little scary. But I guess if he isn't actively attacking anyone, its not a problem.

Yeah, if it started attacking people we'd have to rehome it or something o_o;
But hopefully that won't be a problem, since it seems to like staying away!
