That's kind of sad.
Specially since Firn did that to make it easier for everyone... but in the end, that's the choice they make...

I respect Firn for wanting to keep her site and art up to date. But at the same time, I don't think enough consideration was given to the people who paid FC or spent a lot of time questing the items that got changed. I mean, even if it was done with the best intentions, if I wanted my car to stay the same color, if someone upped and changed it after I bought it, I'd consider it vandalism.

I don't use a lot of shop items, mostly stuff I get from events and the TT shop...XD;; I don't use commons a lot soooo...I don't really care about the remakes or anything...xD;;

xD I focus on my Knuffel more than my avatar, so this doesn't affect me very much either. But I guess its just empathy- If I had spent money on something, I wouldn't want it to be changed without my consent.

Yeah. but the thing is, Firn is asking people to vote if they want to change the item or not. It's just that most people either don't vote or just don't get what means what. There's quite a big topic/thread about it in the forum...

I've seen the thread. I just disagree with how things are handled. I agree that it should be put up to a vote, but I disagree that everyone's vote should have the same weight. Obviously, someone who already donated or quested the item should get more consideration than someone who doesn't own the item and may never own the item.

After all. Its the people who own the item that are gonna get affected. Not anyone else. :/

I haven't really looked in the forums so I have no idea...xD;; but at least they're discussing it right? I mean, the items aren't just changing without people on KofK being told right? O:

No. When Firn is ready to release a remake, she makes a thread with a "before" and an "after" and lets everyone vote on it.

My issue with this system is that everyone gets an equal say, when it most affects people who already own the item.

Honestly I think it'd be too much work to verify that the people that say they own the item own it. :3 You'd have to go into each person's wardrobe to check.

That and plenty of people that paid for it already traded off those items. So where to draw the line between those that bought it and traded it off or those that got it from trades or itemhoarders...
It's just one of those things where it's impossible to please everyone...
