We are doing them either tomorrow or the next day, but I have very short nails, if they grow too long they bend easily, so I have to keep them trimmed.

ah cX that happens to me too. That's why I wear nail polish a lot to prevent the bending.

@DC: I was introduced to HP by a friend...who isn't really a reader, aha. I was at her house one day and she lent me the book.
@Feather: To me, Ravenclaws are about the love of learning, and about the quirks of knowing something others don't. XD I think I would do alright --I have plenty of weirdness to make me fit. XD

Ah yeah, that's true. XD I'm good at chipping off polish, though.
I picked up a hp book out of curiosity, before the movies were established, one of the best choices of my life. XD

Aha, nice. Yeah, I picked up a book from my favorite series at an airport --almost didn't get it too, since the cover was bent. It turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life, haha.

@Mika: Ah. I tried reading it, but I couldn't get past either the first paragraph or the first chapter, I can't remember. And if I can't get past either of those, I don't bother reading.

Ah, I see. Some books start out slow for me, but I end up enjoying them later as the story progresses. It really depends.

I have a three chapter rule, if I can't get into it by then I'll either stop reading or force myself to finish it. XD
The slowest and worst part of all the Harry Potter is the very first chapter, lol. The wording is so odd, but it gets so much better if you stick to it!

o.o maybe this is why I never enjoyed harry potter books. i always got put off from the first chapter.
I have a rule if the first chapter is not good I just stopped reading.
