Well, if it all tastes bad, you can just stop drinking it, that's what I meant
I'd rant about how awful I'm feeling, but I don't have the energy...

Oh, I already stopped \8u/
There wasn't many sodas I liked to drink and now there's one less.
How dare they Bu
What I also don't get, is no one is saying anything about it o_O
I've Googled it a few times and maybe two people were like "Why does this taste weird now?"
One even said it tastes like cough syrup.
I was like "That's what I said \>8u/"
;; -hugs-
I learned my neighbor went to the hospital for a blood transfusion...
She has cancer and I...don't think she'll live much longer.
Which makes me want so sob xD
She's been my neighbor since I was little.
Her and her husband.

*clutches my Dr. Pepper close*
I hope the Canadian ones don't start tasting weird. Or at least that they spare the regular Dr. Pepper, I can live without the cherry.
I'm sorry to hear about your neighbour Moi, it's always really tough losing someone you've known for a long time.

I haven't tried regular Dr. Pepper recently 8u
I had neighbors who had lived here for a while and who have lived here since I was a kid.
Since they were all older, they've pretty much all died.
I have no grandparents, so they felt kind of like grandparents to me.
Now they're going away too.

Thank you for the welcome
It's nice that you were able to have such a good relationship with your neighbours. I think I only ever really knew one neighbour, back where I lived as a kid. It was this super cheerful man named Terry. I didn't talk to him all that much, but he was always super friendly, so it was a nice atmosphere.

My grandpa helped raise me so I've lived at this house since I was younger and my house is right next to this one.
So they were his neighbors and ours.
One died some years ago from cancer and her boyfriend died not long after due to a heart attack, I think.
I think he couldn't keep living without her.
Then the other had...a stroke I think and she just never really recovered.
She was a little Mexican lady who was nice but she'd get pissed real quick if you pointed out her short height. She always called me "mija" which is an endearing term meaning like "my daughter".
When she died, the people who she was renting the house from kicked her sons out.
They were friendly with us too and they had to leave.
One died...last year or in 2020.
Now I have the two across the street. The wife has cancer and the husband has tumors all in his lungs.
She's been in and out of the hospital.
When I had my religious breakdown, we'd go across the street to see her.
She's a Catholic and she gave me a rosary to try and help me.
The neighbors we have now, we don't really know.
The ones on the right have four kids and one of them has cancer.
My mom has talked to the husband because the wife doesn't speak English.
Their boys' toys end up in our yard sometimes and they ask us to give them back.
At our old house, we were friendly with nearly everyone on the block.
It was a small block so xD

It might be the introvert in me being introverted af, but knowing all the neighbours around and visiting them, talking to them sounds super exhausting.

But I'm thinking of my Polish reality over here.
The only neighbours I ever knew was the elderly couple across the hall. They were parents of my dad's friend. The wife always seemed very boujie and a little stuck up. Idk. One time back in elementary school or early middle school I forgot the keys to our apartment and nobody was home. I just crouched at the door and then the neighbours came and they invited me over to wait until somebody returned home. I remember they gave me some tea and buscuits. And they had the sweetest dachshund, she was so friendly.
Oh, and I was teaching their grandson to walk XD
But it was more about their son being friends with my dad than being friends with those neighbours.
How tf do all of your neighbours have cancer?
