Aha, I don't think there is such a thing as over-developed OCs, but in any case, I like the depth. X3 Ocean and I pretty crazy with our character development; we tend to analyze them from a number of different points, she with her lengthy character profiles filled up to the brim in details, and I with my snippets on their psychological and emotional state and stalking their relatives and homes. XD;
Many of my characters have birthdays too --all of my old set have them, and Ocean even celebrates hers. I can only remember two of my character's birthdays though; both on August 13. I guess you could say it's a special day for me, and yet I can never remember it on that day. XD;
Do you have many left-handed OCs? Most of mind tend to be right-handed (though I've noted a few details about being left-handed, should it come in handy), and I have an ambi-lefty. XD
What sort of details do you write about for your OCs? (Open question.)

I guess I don't think of it on purpose... But if I have to answer such a question I can do it. It's easy is you think of their way of life in general. For example I have 2 OCs who used be to working early in the morning in their past and they've got a habit to wake up early. I know that in reality even though many of us have classes and work early we sleep till 14:00 on weekends but that's not about these OCs. XD
Another my OC wakes up as late as possible. She likes to open her eyes and lie in bed for some time, she likes her pillows and blankets, she likes to sleep...
But it's not that I plan it beforehand, I just though about it right now when I read your post. XD

When I think about those types of questions, I consider my OC's lifestyle and habits as well. Faris (my wizard OC) for example, is the type of person who's sorta laid-back, but active in life, so even though he might not be considered the earliest of risers, he still is a morning person (waking up at 7-8 seems natural for him). He would probably let the light that gradually seeps into the room wake him up... very natural and serene. Then again, I could also see him waking up to the sounds of a busy street down below his room. He's a sort of wanderer, so I can think up a number of similar scenarios for him. XD

alice: hehehee good uh...afternnon? xD hahah *sees no sun for is in a differetn time zone*
mika: not in particular. even though i have many characters and a lot i like (for stories you need many characters >w>) i really only have 3 i actually pay extreme attention to. and one of those three is left handed but was raised that that was bad and was forced rigth handed but he sucks with doign things right handed bcs he is left hadned so he goes back and forth in confusion btu is much more successful with his left hand xD
any details really, theres the standard, appearance, then i develop theyre personalities but this is flexible bcs depending o what happens in their stories it can change slightly or be infulenced in a different way. then i do deatils like mannerisms, family, history (fluctuates depending on circumstance), adn then i add things to the rpesent as the story continues~

and my favorites bday is oct 13 which he sees kinda like an omen at times especially when it falls on friday the 13th xD
the other is march 24~ just passed~
and the last is is dec 2
the others are unimpotrant for now~

I used to think about OCs birthdays in the past. But I don't think any of my current OCs has a set date... Not, I guess, they don't have any yet.
Anyway I will have to make up a calendar if I want them to have birthdays since they are not from the world we live in...
Though I guess I can take an existing calendar from some other culture, right? Most people/nations used to have their own calendar at an earlier stage. And some still do.

@Alice: Aha, currently Faris doesn't have a birthday; not that it matters. I plan to save it for a relevant date in the RP before deciding; as a wizard in my world, he's supposed to be secretive about those types of personal details anyways. Oddly, my wizards all dye their hair (but for different reasons). O__o Red is currently the fashionable hair color.
Yeah, I know there's the Chinese calendar. >>b

The subject of birthdays? You'll have to wait until Ocean gets on. XD
Oh, do you guys do you compare your characters with each other? I did that with some of my old ones... organized them by age, or by their looks, or by intelligence, or temperament. It's pretty fun to see the variety and balance among them.
