I've often wondered how hard it would be to set up a tank, not for fish so much as to grow water plants. But most of the edible water plants I'm interested in are too large for a fish tank.

I think its all pretty to look at but its probably a lot more work than most people realise o':

Look, I managed to make a new avi using both the fan and the cheek moon I got from you Popo :)
It wasn't that easy to combine the colours, actually. But I wanted to use them both and I thought the cheek moon might help with a more halloweeny touch.

It does, it makes it look more witchy! :P

I rather like the vampire-witch mix it came out as :)
I'm just not quite happy with the skin, but none of mine really fit perfectly.

I was so happy when I discovered Igor at Rikashitsu was selling the skin tones, so you could swap from right in your wardrobe!

(water plants like lotus, water-pepper, watercress (actually I think that one could maybe be done in a fish tank? You'd not get a lot, but...), water morning-glory, taro (way too big), etc. There's a bunch of cattails not too far away, locally, and I sometimes sneak out and harvest some, but none of the rest are local.)

The thing is, I have a few paler ones and I tried them, but they didn't look good to me either. But yeah, I should go see what there is in the shop that I haven't tried yet.

Akili, I hadn't heard of most of these plants before... :D And for lotus, I've heard of that, but I didn't know it was edible. What part of it do you eat, the leaves, the roots?

pretty much every part of a lotus is edible! You just use them for different things. And of course if you're my mother, you don't eat any of it because 'it's too pretty to disturb!'.

Huh, I never knew! What does it taste like?
Hahaha, that's a good reason to not eat it, I guess :D
