monk (fights with his fists), thief (weak but fast), knight (kind of an all-around character), black mage (casts black magic spells), white mage (casts white magic spells), red mage (casts both black & white spells but only the weaker ones)

Not sure if you're still looking for an answer... but I'd personally pick knight, thief, black mage, and white mage. :3

i have a monk, knight, thief & red mage.
because the red mage, unlike the other two, isn't completely useless as soon as his mp runs out. :P

The "birthday cake" should probably be visible to almost everyone now. xD And yes, I was referring to the Knuffel's birthday cake. =P
I originally only thought about Blaze's birthday, though. Kudos to anyone who figured out mine. But yes, there's no need to find extra letters for "Oracle of Ice" as I only mention 1 person (Plus, Oracle is a joint mule XD).
I understand 1 day is pretty a short time for all this (but that's why the prizes are like that ;D).
@mercu: Is it on GBA? FF is cool, but the oldest one I've played so far is FFVI. I like how they have 12 (?) characters, but it's kinda a pain when it comes to levelling them up and making them learn skills. x___X
