Makoto is actually my favorite right now, but I actually like ALL the characters, except the teacher who for some reason rubs me the wrong way. (I'm sure she was a gravure idol before becoming a teacher, and I kinda wish she'd just say so, but at the same time Japan is weird about making people ashamed of stuff they should have no reason to be ashamed of >.> )

What's gravure?

I have no idea what it actually stands for, but a gravure idol is just like, a female model... they tend to put out books and posters and stuff, it's not too unusual for idol singers to start out with gravure. They don't pose nude or anything, but wear swimsuits pretty frequently, or just various costume type outfits.

...I even really like Nagisa, and a lot of the time the young perky character in a show is super annoying, but he's actually genuinely cute.
