I hate my irl name so whenever I meet people now I just tell them my name is Eva and so far most people (not family) call me that. Changing it legally is too much of a hassle atm.

I have a preferred name that has nothing to do with my legal name, too. Mostly because I'm an Asian person living in an English speaking country. Plus, I hate my legal name. But my parents won't let me change it because they think I'm abandoning my culture. I love my Korean culture. I just hate my name. lol

But I'm thinking about changing my preferred name, too. Because that + my real last name = heart in a different language. lol Heart is my thing, you can probably tell. But that may be too punny and get old real soon? Plus, I've been called by my preferred name for almost 20 years. It may be too late to change it now.

Depends on how wide your social circle is and how accepting they would be to the change.
Also a dear friend couple of mine got married last year and changed both their last names to Hart.

My daughter Joslyn was named after a story character I made. I liked the name. And then I had to change the story character's name because everyone thought I was talking about my daughter. XD

She's a Capricorn and the dragon. Fits really.

I'm also really drawn to snake characters in anime, my favorite the one from Kamisama kiss.

My anime knowledge is regrettably minimal.

The only anime I can wax equolent about is SenBasa and even then I'm behind

Samurai Champloo and Princess Tutu are about my only ones. And Cardcaptor Sakura.

That's pretty cool. My boyfriend is against that idea. I don't like his last name.

My username was actually a thing in a story I wrote, too. I also changed the name of the thing in that story because it was starting to feel Mary Sue-ish. Even though it's an inanimate object.

My boyfriend and I are watching Steins; Gate now? He's really enjoying all the pseudo-science.

Ah, CLAMP. I hate them. They appropriated a story from my culture and totally butchered it. Haven't read anything by them since.
