I recently found photos of our family trip to Malbork, when my parents were together. It was a nice reminder that it wasn't all bad all of the time and we had some great memories.
I also found a black and white photo of my young parents on a party somewhere. It was refreshing to see them like that.
Needless to say I kept all of these photos.
Both my parents are artistic. They both used to paint and draw (my mom still has dad's painting of a palm tree, he painted it for her), my dad plays the guitar (self taught, is amazing) and my mom always wanted to be a fashion designer. She still has wonderful ideas - did I mention she made me a prom dress? It was gorgeous, I still have it. Oh, and my dad also used to design and make jewelry (he was a jeweler). It's crazy that they didn't accomplish much with so many talents. I guess the times were different. I know for sure my dad would've pursued a musical career if not for my grandpas (yes, both) who told him he'd never make it, let alone make money on it. Knowing what I know about him and his music, for sure he'd be a mothereffing rockstar. Now he's a man with no money in his pocket, with terrible debts and just broken dreams about music

But the same thing goes for my mom. It's sad, really. I hope I can do more in my life.
Wow, that was probably unnecessary to spill all that, lol.
