i find it a bit strange sometimes that for western people, they always prescribe chicken soup when you're sick. for asians, its always plain congee lol. XD

When we say "chicken soup" for a sick person, we mean just the broth.
Because it's liquid (digestible) and hot (makes you feel warm), but also has some nutrients (because of everyting that has been boiled into it).

But yeah, it's a classic.

I use to like cambells chicken soup... then they started putting little carrot bits into it... (allergics) The broth use to be so rich and tasty now it just kills my stomach QAQ


So now.. I get miso soup... and my grocery store stopped selling the red bean flavor i like so now I gotta find a new brand that has red bean but so far nothing! >:o


My friend that was murdered in 2019 (at xmas time, her death anniversary is coming up QAQ at least she got to miss covid and the whole trump bs) her current husband (the one who killed her) didn't like being told she couldn't have kids anymore..

She had 1 with her first hubby who died of brain cancer
2 with her second who she left (then he died of a heart attack apparently)
3 with this guy, and he wasn't letting her have breaks in between babies.. like the one pair of kids are just 10 months apart from each other...

then he goes and kills her right there at xmas and now the kids are in florida with the worst grandmother ever... I hate that my friends mother got custody.. her brothers shoulda got custody. The only reason the her mother fought to have those kids was so she could keep them from my friends brothers and grandmother (her own sons and mother)

._. Ima say this... giving characters each a distinct speech pattern is really difficult.. I even have a thingy so I can keep track of who says what in this way! x-x I'm running out of ideas to the point people are saying ak and eh at the end of every line and yun after their done talking =A=


like tying out some of the way people 'pronounce' things makes me feel stupid.. my brain is going 'that's not how that is spelled!!!'


anyway.. someone give me ideas of how an accent would look like written down.. basically i need altered words =w=

and I have another rich girl who's a timid sweetheart who needs a speech pattern..


I really just want main characters to have a not weird way of talking but yet it be distinguishable..

avoiding changing words like some and come to sum and cum...=w=, I don't mind sum... but if I use that i'd have to use cum

I don't think I could do mushy rice... x-x the texture of it... I have to have instant potatoes that aren't lumpy because fresh mushed potatoes have this texture to them.. and the lumps.. i gag on it.. I can only picture how that'd be with mushy rice..

yeaaaaaaah so mushy rice (according to asian beliefs) is good for cleansing your stomach/intestines cuz like...its just pure white rice that's mushy. XD and well its easily digestible lol.

i dunno know lol. i have no idea what the difference between rice pudding and congee is. XD apart from the fact that maybe rice pudding is like.......sweet and you use milk to make it....congee is literally just water and rice. XD you can always add other things/ingredients but its mainly a savoury dish.
