I'm trying to remember, I think the next donut goal I need them for is something around 700-odd donuts.
(trying for hairs, despite those sad eyebrows).

So I'm a long ways from having that goal, but this thread is actually bizarrely generous, so I'll just keep hopefully posting here, and eventually....

I wonder what the actual numbers are, in terms of chances to get donuts? Anyone have any kind of statistics on it at all? I keep forgetting to track it.

No idea about the actual statistics, would be interesting though!

I suppose we could try and use this chat thread to sort of keep a running statistic? Maybe it wouldn't be a complete overview, but if every time we posted here that gave donuts we edited it to show it gave donuts, then we could go through and count up the numbers of posts-without-donuts and posts-with-donuts, maybe figure it out?

That still only works if a lot of people participate. The sample size would be too small if we only take one thread into account otherwise. And we have to rely on people not forgetting to edit or just skip it when they're in a hurry...

The thing is, even if we do assume that there's a statistically significant rate of under-reporting, it would still be better than one person trying to figure it out entirely on their own, right?
