We've been letting Sabre stay in the house when it's cold.
All the cats except Momo and Dooty-do stay outside.
We tried to let some of them in and they destroyed the house xD

Sabre is cute. He used to attack all the other cats so we'd chase him off.
Yell at him, toss stuff at him, spray him with the hose...
He'd just come back.
Now he's pretty well-behaved.
He still will attack the others sometimes, though Bu
He and Dooty-do usually curl up on the bed together and sleep.
My mom's boyfriend loves Sabre too.

Also, I found a memory of me saying I was building a snowman last year and my dog came over and started eating it Bu

Hahaha, clearly you were just piling up food for your dog's convenience...
Sabre sounds like a scrapper... You think he is mellowing out with age or is actually becoming less feral?

That's nothing. I broke my back raking a pile of leaves one day and I stopped to take a break and he just walks over and flops down on the leaves >>

Also he so looks ready to pounce on any hand unwary enough to try and pet that fur, doesn't he? Look at those alert eyes and forward ears and the one claw already peeping out in anticipation!

I wanna snuggle him anyhow.

For a bit, he also meowed like "Mmmwow."
I was like "Sabre, what happened to your meow >>" and he said "Mmmwow."
I said "Mmmwow, huh? He sounds very excited about something 8u"

Cats are so smart.
And they like listening to people.
My mom used to talk to our cats all day long

I would not be surprised at all if they were all shapeshifters and they had a plan to conquer the whole world.

I talked to him the other day and I said "You understand me don't you Sabre >>"
He looked at me, his eyes got wide, and his ears went back.
He looked like I caught him xD

With my Kiri, I had her for like 15 years - that was half of my life.
I could just look at her and sense what she needed.
I do that with a lot of animals.
I can just look at them and sense what they need/want.
Sometimes I can't and it bothers me xD

You would be such a reassuring presence for the animals if you worked at a vet's office -but then you'd have to deal with people so it's probably not worth it.
Unless they just let you work in the back, with the animals, without seeing people....

/random thoughts

I had to take a cat I was petsitting to a vet and it was so scary, I'd never been to that office before and I didn't know if they'd let me stay with her. Fortunately after I was waiting in the sitting room for 1/2 hour and it was clear I wasn't going to budge until they were done, they relented and let me go in back to stay with her. She was really out of it, poor thing, they'd drugged her groggy before they drew blood since she is kind of a cranky cat, but I really like her, crankiness and all. Cats are allowed to be cranky when they get that old!
