good job on your test, Nan :mcglee:

I'm liking the sound of this story as well, Steven *nods*
Atalia sounds like a very interesting villain

as for last week not going well.. my lung seemed to have decided to collapse again two sundays ago, and I may have had a... small emotional break down because of it :mcsleepy:
but.. I think I'm starting to feel better *knocks on wood*
just tired of my lung being stupid (especially after I was finally feeling so well for a few months! :mcshout: ) :mcgloom:

And that makes it so understandable to have a breakdown when the issues return. That sucks so bad, though I kind of understand because I do suffer from sore ribs quite easily now, even though they are all healed, or should be... dunno, haven't gotten any X-rays done in a while...

Which is funny, because I have recovered from a lot of severe injuries... more than one probably should in their life time... XD but, other than my right knee, that I broke once when I was 13 in a skateboarding accident, and then two years later in a dirt bike accident I tore some tendons and ligaments in it... my ribs have been an on going issue. Although it has only been 5 months since my accident, I'll reassess how I am feeling and things are going in another 5 months or so.

Best of the word I can't think of but don't want to use luck... at getting your lung issue taken care of and resolved for good so you can leave your semblance of 'normal' life and actually get back to having a normal life free of lung issues! :D Also, thank you for the comments on my idea.

I talked with Arty today on the phone for 2 hours... we talked about school mostly and found out that we have remarkably similar experiences regarding school, and our general attitudes and personalities, in our childhood. She would regale a story to me about something that happened to her and as she is telling me her story, flashbacks of an almost similar situation come to mind of my experiences in middle school; both of our times in middle school were remarkable. Not necessarily in a good way, either. 3 of the 4 times I nearly got expelled from school were in middle school~

Let's see.

1st near expulsion was the day after my dad and I went to the range to shoot his guns. I had 3 empty casings and an empty clip to show my friends. However, some kid broke into my locker, found that stuff, and told the school, which caused the school to go on lock down and the police to show up...

2nd near expulsion was in gym class, a kid attacked me; bent me backwards over a chain link fence and started choking me. I broke his nose, his jaw, and his arm in the process of not dying. He was retarded, so it was all my fault that he attacked me. The school reasoned that I did something to antagonize him which is why he attacked me... not that he was extremely violent and that was actually probably the millionth time he attacked me. He attacked me nearly daily but I was always able to stop the attack without hurting him.

The 3rd near expulsion was when a few of the varsity football team started picking on me when I had to take a note to my aunt, who is only 4 years older than I am, so while I was in 7th grade, she was in 11th... but about 3 or 4 of the football team started picking on me for being in the high school halls, so I ended up breaking a wrist, hyper extending an elbow, and dislocating a shoulder (all on the same guy that initially tried to punch me), the others ran away and I ended up nearly getting expelled for benching one of the schools star players...

The last near expulsion was my refusal to take a state required test in 11th grade. I absolutely refused to take it, and it was a test that helped get the school funding. I told my parents that I wasn't going to take the test and they sided with me. I was nearly expelled for refusing to take the test. The school told me that I had two options, take the test or never be allowed in another school in Michigan again, so I took the test and made sure to do as badly as possible.

And not including those, there have been countless times that I have gotten in trouble and had varying combinations of write ups and suspensions.

In 7th grade, out of the 9 months we are in school, I think I was only in school for 3 months. First three near expulsions had me out of school for about 4 months, then all the out of school suspensions, and then skipping, and then two surgeries; tonsils and appendix removed... XD

Why did you even bring that to school?!?! :mcargh: It's not that dangerous if it's empty... but you know. School o3o;

The school always side with them... They never hear our stories >3>;

Your school had middle and high school together? :o

Gee Steven xD I wouldn't want to get near you! xD

Because I didn't think anyone would freak out over some useless empty casings.

Also, I am not a violent person, but if I get into a fight-which I do actively try to avoid, I will end it quickly. I didn't learn sport martial arts, for competitions and stuff, I learned military martial arts, which is for survival... so what I know is designed to dislocate joints, break bones, incapacitate, and/or kill.

I am also well trained with most weapons. Whether it is a pistol, a rifle, a sword, a bow, a club, an axe, nunchaku, or spear, I know how to use it~

And yeah, I went to a very tiny school Nan, just your class is probably bigger than my entire school, kindergarten to 12th grade. Just for reference, the entire school at present has 435 kids enrolled K-12. There were only 54 in my graduating class in 2004. 71 in my cousins graduating class of 2006. 67 in my sisters graduating class of 2007.

But school. School D: They freak out from the littlest things.

K-kill?... Weapons... .-. *hides behind bush* o3o...
I would certainly flinch at the slightest thing you do xD Even if you would never do such a thing xD

Wah... :mcargh: That's pretty small then! xD

I knew a guy like that one you said started choking you. there was a guy at my high school, he was a little mentally challenged, but for some reason he kept trying to attack one of my friends, but the friend finally managed to get him to back off, had to use some force since the guy kept trying to hit him, but he eventually left us alone (he also kept looking up dbz porn in the chess club I went to, and it made me really uncomfortable so I stopped attending the club)

that's pretty impressive with your knowledge of weapon usage *nods*
I wish I could learn how to use a sword, since sword play and a lot of martial arts seem to be more like an elegant dance than a fighting style
but I think swinging a sword around would hurt me more than anyone else :mcheh: :mcsweat:

yeah, I knock on wood, I'm a bit superstitious. I carry a piece of jade and a bloodstone in my pocket for luck even *nods* (like I forgot them at home one day, noticed I didn't have them while I was driving and had to turn around to get them)

and as for the lung thing, from what I understand from the two operations is that even with everything the doctors are... willing to do... my lung will more than likely have issues for.... maybe the rest of my life or for at least a very very very long time :mcsleepy:

Pff, just throw your lung away and get an artificial one! Like the Bionic Woman! Except, not to such an extent... or the $6 million dollar man~ *nods*

And I don't know how I do it, it's not like I studied how to use most weapons, probably from always watching martial arts movies as a kid, I somehow visually learned what to do and it then became a latent skill until I picked up the weapon. Though, I am above average, considering the average person probably doesn't know how to use those weapons, but against someone who has trained in them for a while I don't think I would compare well.

Though if you have those display swords, you can kind of practice on your own. Learn the proper katas and practice them, and then shadow fight, it may seem silly and it is all pretend, but if you take it seriously you can learn quite a bit (as long as you don't make yourself over powered and weren't making it like DBZ fighting [which is fine too XD] but realistically asses how you would do, what people would likely do, how you would counter, etc.)
