Maybe instead, when you get a new pan, you hide it under your mattress. >.< Keep the old one out for them to use, only grab the new one when you're going to be right there using it yourself -then immediately clean it, dry it, and run away to hide it away again!


I had a similar issue with a vegan family member who kept using cheap vegetable oils to grease my nice cookie sheets, and it'd built up this awful film as it reacted with the non-stick surfacing. I kept telling her, if you *must* do that, use coconut oil, which doesn't leave the residue... but no. Eventually I made her replace it for me and hid the new one. She just couldn't remember, and kept using really inappropriate oils, like virgin olive oil! I mean, you'd think between taste interference and the low smoke point she'd at least avoid that one? But no.

It was a pain, but it did work to keep the new cookie sheet clean. >.<

Well, where we are, the regular olive oil is super cheap, the virgin olive oil is reasonable and the extra virgin can get expensive.
But yeah, it's not the cheapest and I still don't understand what she was thinking, I really truly don't. (I kept hoping she'd just use parchment paper, or sprinkle flour on, but nope).

I'd miss crepes and omelets too much... I mean, you need crepes as a base for so many other recipes, besides just eating them plain!

(And I guess it depends on how thick the mattress is; I just stuck the sheet under the mattress by my feet and never even noticed. But if you're working with a lot of things, and a thin mattress, then maybe?)

What kinda cupcakes did you make??! Do you ever watch Cupcake Wars? I was talking with a friend and we were talking about opening up a comic book/cupcake shop. I think we settled on calling it Hero Cakes!

This will never happen but how cool would that be? I could make cupcakes to correlate with the new books that came out each wednesday....

Hope you're doing good! Are you cooking a meal for Christmas or anything? We're having a everyone bring a dish thing but I said I wanted to do the dessert so we're going to make individual trifles.
