This is going to sound stupid but have you tried the flier trick? Putting up lost bird signs? Or putting out his favorite food or something?

I know you wouldn't be sitting there! I wouldn't think that at all! Sorry Merry, I was just saying we can also help with that, that's all. ^^;;

Hi, Chris. I appreciate you dropping by. <3
I'm working on the flyer thing, Juliet. As for his favorite food, it's no use I'm afraid. He didn't eat much else from cat kibble, and everything I put out there will be eaten by other animals. And the chance he'll come to find it is incredibly small.
And sorry Veene, since I have to keep it Dutch I don't think there's much you can do... Unless you know other Dutchies of course :(

OH! I always forget when people are from other countries. xD The boundary which I cannot cross is language, so I do see what you mean. No need to apologize either! <3
If I could though I would! And sadly I do not know other Dutchies. Dx

A bird eating cat food? I've never heard of such a thing. That is quite interesting. Best of luck with the Flyers!! I'm praying for you and Sully.

Neither did I, bu that's because not a damn thing can be found about raising corvids. My previous bird died because I fed him mealworms - I was convinced that was what a bird ate. Magpies are insect / carrion eaters - they eat anything they encounter, but mainly carrion and insects. And they need a lot of protein. So mealworms seemed to be the perfect food. Turns out mealworms are highly dangerous, especially for young birds. Their exoskeleton is too hard to digest and some are still alive in the stomach, which give them the chance to... You get it.
Only weeks later I found out I had killed my own magpie due to lack of information.
Luckily Sully had a breeder. He explained to me what had happened to my magpie and what you should really feed a corvid. Soaked cat kibble contains everything a magpie or jackdaw needs...
So if you ever find a young bird, don't try to feed it insects! You just don't know what they can or can't digest. Feed it soaked cat kibble instead. No bread either, though that's what everyone thinks. Cat kibble. They do great on that.
I know, many people forget.
Dutch is not a boundary one should want to cross, either. Disgusting language.

I never would have guessed! That actually is very intriguing. Sorry to hear about the magpie. Do you know how people thought about trying soaked cat kibble? Is it bad for them if it isn't soaked?
