Some people like to have noise in the background while they do things cuz silence bothers them and they hear all the other little noises of the world. My husband used to leave the TV on but our newer, more powerful comps' fans run pretty loud to make up for it.

I used to not be able to sleep with the tv on, but since my sister started sleeping with me, I can fall asleep with it on xD

Same but with husband XD I like some level of white noise but the tv is usually too much cuz then I wind up watching the tv instead of doing what I'm doing

I can ignore the noise, or sometimes when I'm listening, I drift off to sleep. I would love a sleep mask, though >>

I like it dark and with white noise
During winter if it's cold enough and it still worked, I just let a space heater run for a couple of years (it died a few weeks ago)
