Guysss. Since Sandy died we had to take in her dog. He's soooo big. He's enormous. We're not used to dogs. They need so much more care and attention than cats. And he's way louder too. lol.

I would love a dog, but I can't take one now :( but I bet i'll be annoyed with the noise once I have it XD what race is your dog? Or is it a mix?

He's a mutt. Not sure what mix he is.
But he's mostly white with big tan spots and tan flecks all over his coat. He's cute.

Cats fit our personality a lot better but we still love him. He's a good boy.

Haha, I feel like cats are more my pets than dogs, too (Ash says I'm a cat, lol), but I'm kind of craving a very cheerful creature in my life and dogs tend to be more cheerful XD But I guess I'd have to see.

There are very cheerful cats too. Cats have all kinds of different personalities. I hear a lot of the hypoallergenic types have very playful personalities.

I like mutts a lot too. They're usually more healthy.
But I like 'pure breeds' too. I like all dogs. lol.

Oh, I know cats have different personalities, Just like dogs do. It's just that cats are generally more likely to keep to themselves. I'm really fed up with distant pets from my rats. They are stinking cute and adorbs and they can really show affection but dang it, I need a loveball that would wag its tail at me and interrupt me with everything XD

I think I've read somewhere that mutts tend to have stronger survival instincts and are genetically closer to the wolf ancestor, because they get so much diversity in the genes. And that their senses are better? I'm not sure about that, I read this a long time ago xD
From pure breeds, I'm a sucker for pit bull ones, they are so effing cute. Unfrotunately they're not very common here in Poland. But if I see them, I see they don't have the cropped ears etc, so that makes me super happy.
Also: French bulldogs. I love those huge ears <3

Yes, having an animal that loves to cuddle is the best. Though really big dogs think that they are tiny and they are hard to love on. lol. Breaking your lap.

I've not heard that but it sounds interesting. I feel like some dogs are bred for some of their traits being really strong. Like bloodhounds having REALLY good sense of smell.

There are a lot of pits here but unfortunately there's a lot of discrimination against them. I really don't understand it. Pits are often some of the sweetest dogs. And their faces are so adorable.

I don't understand dog discrimination either. People just don't understand that it's actually the owner that causes the problem. Did you know pitties were an American mascot during the world war II? Then some idiots bred them for fights and made them into "one of the most aggressive dog breed" and some places even banned pitbuls from their countries/states entirely.

Our dog is like that. He's getting better at not jumping up on us or our laps though. Slowly training him.

People are crazy. Small dogs are way more aggressive. Not that I think any dogs should be banned.

I know lots of communities/apartments around the US have breed restrictions. One good thing about living in the country is that you can have pretty much any pet you want as long as you don't flaunt it. I also don't suggest getting anything too crazy like wild animals. But there are some states where you can't own hedgehogs! Isn't that crazy?

I got a corgi/shar pei mix in high school. She was the cutest dog ever. She's still very cute but the poor baby is so fat. My mom won't walk her. Gives her a ton of table scraps.

When I lived there I took her on a long walk almost every night.
