Hedgehogs are a bit of a novelty to me, but hey, I think racoons would be awesome as pets so I don't judge :D It's a pity some states ban pets, it's stupid.

Oh no, why doesn't your mom walk her?! :qshock: every dog should be walked at least two times a day imo :qwor:

I think that raccoons make okay pets except that they like to drown everything. So you got to keep everything that will be ruined with water away from them.

It is stupid. Like with tigers and monkeys and things like that I can understand. Since they're wild animals and endangered. I know that some people can get Capuchins as service animals.

Because she's lazy. She's one of those people who thinks that dogs can be tied up 24/7 outside and be fine. It's legal in the US, I don't know about other places.

I knoooow, it would be a bit annoying I guess, but if I'm dealing with rodents ruining the cables, I think I'd be able to deal with things getting wet. Unless they are super important or electronic, but that's really manageable imo.

Capuchins as service animals? I had no idea that's a thing! :o

I'm sorry, if I let myself comment on that, that wouldn't be the nicest comment :mcargh: :mcheh: But unfortunately I think it's legal pretty much anywhere. Pets don't really have rights...

I know that some people in the US do have raccoons as pets. But they're not common. lol. I do see them outside sometimes. There was a family of them living behind my mother in law's house and they would chatter at her.

Yep. They can do lots of simple tasks. They even change their own diapers.

No problem. I feel the same way. She's not as bad as a lot of people. The dog has a huge house, think a kid's large playhouse, and she fills it with straw and blankets for the winter. That way it's warmer.

Awe, that's so cute <3

Wow, I should know this, monkeys are super smart XD

That's nice, definitely warms me up to the idea. Better than merely a roof over the dog's head and a chain.

Aw, that sounds like a very good boy dog. :qh:

It's funny how people are with walking dogs. We used to have a neighbor family that were all into long distance running, and they came home at different times, and every time they'd go out their two dogs would beg to go with, and these dogs were in SUCH good shape because they'd go on so many runs every single day. It was impossible for any of us to take care of them properly when we'd try and babysit, because the dogs would expect to be taken out for super long walks multiple times a day....
I feel like with a dog that's not used to walking, you can distract them from "owners are gone! World is ending!" by taking them a short distance, so at least that's something.

(Dogs are so enthusiastic. If their owner is gone, the world must be ending. When they see people they love again, even after a short ending, then it's instant ecstasy. They're so whole-hearted :qh: )

Yeah, it's much better than lots of people do, but I still don't think it's good. Doggies should at least sleep in the house.

I was taking a nap on the couch today and Wishbone came and rested his head on my head. lol. He is a silly boy. He's so anxious too. He whines when we leave the room. And he also flinches when we touch him sometimes. It's weird. Our family has had him since he was a baby. I feel like he's only gotten spankings when he's hurt one of our niblings on accident. I don't know why he flinches so much.

Aw, I'm glad that they got so many walks. That's nice. It does make it hard to walk them if you're not used to it though. Good thing I wasn't the one baby sitting.

That's so true. I was watching this comedian and he was saying that dogs only concept of time is forever. When the humans are gone, they're gone forever. When the humans are home they're home forever. lol. It was really funny.
