One of my hamsters always bit me, to the point it bled a little `w`;

I'd like a rat now!! xD

if you do get a rat, I would recommend getting two females so they can play when you're asleep or at school *nods*
Lily always wants attention, especially when I'm heading out to work or about to go to bed, Pip likes attention too but she's a lot more attached to her big sister than me

Why two girls? :o Are they more friendlier with each other than a girl and a boy?

girl-boy would mate like crazy in the same cage, and I've heard boy-boy can at times become more violent with each other at a certain age unless bought together at the same time (like introducing a smaller one to a bigger one)

That sucks ;w; But two girls are fine~ Do you think it'd matter when I get the second mouse? Like say I get the first one now and maybe a few months later I get another one?

I'd assume it would be ok, I got Pip about half a month after getting Lily, the main issue was Lily showing Pip who the older and in charge was, but it wasn't really fighting or anything bad.
you'd probably just want to watch them for a bit to make sure they're scuffling/play fighting and not really fighting the first few days or so

All these talks about owing a rat makes me excited xD I just might get one when I get comfy in college!

oh, just a heads up then, for their bedding, don't do pine or cedar, from what I've read those are extremely bad for rats. aspen bedding is nice though *nods*

I just had a talk about getting a pet rat with my dad xD He didn't really oppose it, just neutral.
