It shouldn't be this difficult to get a tooth pulled..
A hospital should be doing it now that it's infected. infection = health emergency which should be covered... This is totally redic.

Yeahhh, a hospital should help with that. D: but maybe they’re like, well we’re not dentists, leave it to the dentists lol.

It definetely works like that here.
Doctors do little more (to teeth) than pulling them out, but at least they do fix that.
Maybe you should check your health insurance, if you have any, Moi?
Just in case it covers it!

I can't even get anyone to give me pain medication.
They act like if they give me something that's not OTC, something horrible will happen.
Medicaid most likely won't cover it xD
Even if they did, most places don't take Medicaid so I wouldn't know where to go?
My mom called the dentist to see if they could pull my tooth today.
Dentist won't be in until January 4th. Which is when my appointment is.
So I have to be in horrific pain until then I guess \8u/
My jaw is sore to the touch, swollen, I can barely open my mouth and talking hurts.
JANUARY 4th.

i'm sorry to hear that Moi. to be in pain during the holidays....well i guess even doctors/dentists need a break. will off the counter drugs work? even temporarily?

Okay, my mom found a dentist that told me to come in tomorrow.
They said the extractions start at $115 and go up.
So we're going to go check them out tomorrow.
The issue with OTC stuff is it's not strong enough.
To my knowledge, 800mg Ibuprofen isn't OTC.
I mean you can buy Ibuprofen and take 800mg but the ones I got prescribed worked really good while the others don't.
I can take 4 200mg Advil and it won't work at all.
Meanwhile I took 1 800mg Ibuprofen and it worked amazingly.

oh that's good, hopefully it works out for you.
ah i see. i'm unclear about otc drugs myself, i rarely eat them unless i have a seriously pounding headache. that's when i take like an advil or two.

I hope so too...
Well, I don't know if it's like...an immunity but I'm constantly in pain so I've been sucking down OTC stuff my whole life. So it gets to where it doesn't do anything at all.
Also, NSAIDs which are like Ibuprofen and Aspirin and stuff like that can cause bleeding ulcers.
Of which, seems to run in my family 8u
So it's possible I could get them some day too and I'm just sucking down NSAIDs left and right \u8/

o3o moi come visit me.. we have people up here that take medicaid.
And we have hospitals that have oral surgeons and stuff. mom had to have her teeth surgically removed at one because one of her roots were wrapped around her jaw bone.
people called adult protective services because it looked like I beat her up -3-
It sucks that medicaid's dental health varies from state to state.. up here we get nearly full dental coverage.
