Hm, my concern is more that the cat should have the possibilty to go outside. At least the shelter here is always looking to give the cats to places where they can roam freely outside. From what I've heard, if you want to keep a cat completely inside it needs to never have known going outside and that seems kinda sad to me...

We had a cat that was really scared to go outside, she'd start meowing and getting all wild so we didn't let her outside. Though we had a huge balcony and she enjoyed spending most of her time there.

Where I live, at least, cats that roam around outside will be seen as stray and taken away to the pound. So it's very uncommon to see even cat owners walking their cats around, either because of that situation or because the cat doesn't appreciate being on a leash or being outside. I heard from my mom's kitten's vet that 'outside cats' tend to have a shorter lifespan, but there wasn't much justification (that I got anyway) so I'm not too sure.

@Chrizine and Haze - thanks! I'm sticking with the animal theme for my next ones too.

@Mem It's my sixth I think ^^ The first two were really awful though lol, I'm never bringing them out again XD

@Chrizine: Balcony doesn't count? :mcblush: Our cats used to go out only to the balcony (secured with a net so they wouldn't fall out), but outside, I don't think they'd ever wanted to go outside :qt:

@LunaTears: Hello, new face! :mcglee: *confetti rain*

I think the outside cats may just catch diseases, that's why they may have shorter lifespans. At least I've heard they should be checked really frequently by the vet and always get their vaccines. Stay-in-cats don't need such frequent check ups.

@jacob: Ah, well, then congrats on having it approved xD I think it's a normal thing to hate your previous art :qlol:

Congrats, jacob!

We live on the first floor and have a balcony as well, so our cat can come and leave whenever he wants to :) He needs the outside.

Thanks! Yeah I guess it's pretty normal. I have learned a lot since then so it also makes sense XD

We "adopted" a cat for a few days once (translation: he wandered into our house and decided he lived there now). But he was definitely an outdoor cat. He scratched me badly when the catflap was locked shut (I mean, we didn't normally have a cat, so why should we have it open?) and he was trying to go outside. After that, he decided not to live with us anymore.
