Oh god I hated presentations
And they only went up in number when we got smartboards

They try to include everyone, but no matter what they do, someone gets left behind
We with really bad anxiety have to work in groups and/or present up front with no alternative? We get left behind
We who do better working alone and get forced into a group? Once again, left behind

I hated group work. I always ended up doing everything...

I got shunted aside and left out until it was time to make the presentation
And they were always rude about it
Gee okay let me make this big fuss about something I know nothing about cuz y'all kicked me aside and shut me out. Sure. Hope y'all fail for that
The worst two told me to not be rude when I couldn't do it for them
"You're making the presentation."
"No can do, I'm gonna be at Disney World next week."
"No need to be rude."
I was back for when it was presented
"Kit, aren't you going up with them?" The teacher asked
"They ignored me the whole time, so no."
So yeah, that duo ended up being called out in front of the class and teacher
Ended up getting the "highest profits/only group that made profits" prize of 1 drink/candy of our choice despite that. I told the teacher either Mountain Dew Code Red or Twix
He got me both :')
And that was after I reminded him that I'd been shunted aside and so had nothing to do with it
So I prolly got both as an apology of sorts?

And speaking of Mountain Dew, one class I was in we went down the road to the deli with the teacher. We could get one thing that she'd pay for. Everything else we wanted we'd have to have our own money for. I got a bottle and she went "your parents let you drink that?"

In a math class I took in college, we were supposed to do the homework in groups of 4, which was a really stupid idea, and of course my 3 group members never once showed up, so I had no choice but to do their homework the whole semester.

Okay that I would've done mine, submitted mine, and let the teacher know that the other three never showed up and I couldn't do theirs on top of mine

Yeah, you should have told the teacher instead of doing their homework for them. It be one thing if they missed occasionally but not showing up at all is horrible.

He seemed to know because they never did well on the tests, and he could probably tell it was always my handwriting too, and after grading and handing back the homework he always handed it to me. So I felt funny saying anything. But, at the end of the year when we had to fill out a little questionnaire about the class, I wrote it in there just to be sure he knew and so that maybe he'd change it for future classes. One of the girls in the group at least gave me a jar of candy at the end of the semester and thanked me for doing all her homework.

Yeah he might have known it was happening but if you didn't say anything he probably thought you were okay with it. Some people like doing all the work.
