Yeah no I’m good. I’m allergic to the buggers so I refuse to mess around with them.

If there's any sort of spider in my house my husband is legally obligated to kill it for me. No spiders inside the house. They go outside.

I'm okay with them to a certain extent. As long as they're not dangerous to my health, keep to their side of the house, and kill off all the other pests they can stay...somewhat. It's truly an out of sight out of mind relationship. With that being said, as soon as I see one I have a panic attack and call my dad to come deal with it.

Just yesterday I noticed a spider on our stove... I panicked and cussed the hell out of it while my grandma (doesn't care about the little fuckers) tried to kill it with her slipper and KEPT MISSING. If someone had been watching us, they'd probably laugh their ass off XD'
Needless to say, I'm not okay with spiders, I don't care if they kill mosquitoes and flies, etc. I'll deal with them on my own. I can't deal with spiders tho. And they're not even venomous in Poland so I might just be dumb xD

Not okay with spiders here either. I call them douchebags out loud because I'm superstitious that if you talk about them or think about them they will come in. Our patio door is open right next to me as I type so I'm probably inviting one just by writing this.
I don't like most bugs either. Ranging from "annoyance" (flies, beetles) to "get the everloving fuck away from me" (douchebags, wasps and bees, earwigs, cockroaches...)
Once we were on holiday in a place that was populated by these huge beetles with thick shells. I was walking backwards talking to my parents and I stood on one, not seeing it. It literally popped. I will never forget the grossness of that sound. We went and sat in the resort restaurant which had big glass windows and I could just see it laying on the ground out there. Thank god I was wearing shoes and not bare feet.

Yeah, bugs in general aren't pleasant

I'm lucky to be living in a country where we don't have much dangerous species, and if we do, they're forest mammals, so definitely not living in the city. Still, bugs are gross
I didn't know the superstition about thinking/talking about them mothereffers and inviting them by doing so. That's interesting!

According to one of my spiritual friends spiders are suppose to bring good luck. According to a site I found on google, there are a lot of positive meanings on a spiritual, astral, and physical level. It's kind of funny though that one of the most fear beings on the earth can be seen in a positive light.
What Does a Spider Symbolize
A spider symbolizes aptitude, fate, patience, creation, enthusiasm, shrewdness, rebirth, protection, resourcefulness, growth, beauty, mystery, determination, manifestation, limitlessness, and exploration. A weaver of destiny, it helps you recognize your creative gifts and utilize them for fulfilling your desires.

Do those of you who have trouble with spiders also have trouble with spiderwebs, even when they are clearly empty/abandoned?

@Ms_Zuralli: the only positive thing I can associate with spiders is creativity, since spider webs can be pretty.
@Akili: I have much lesser problem with spiderwebs than with spiders. Mostly it's just a tiny trigger, because it indicates a spider's in the house. Unless I accidentaly touch it, it's a bit icky xD But mostly I think it's this connection spiderweb=spider.
