But they themselves are alright, just the implication of spider is the problem? So, say, entirely fake ones, like spiderwebs used as a design element in a drawing, are okay?

I guess, yeah, they're okay in that way.

Depends on how high my anxiety is that day. On days that have been relatively calm, I'm okay with pictures or seeing webs from a far. On bad days everything is a nightmare trigger...

I can appreciate the beauty of a spiderweb but I am creeped the fuck out by the likelihood of them being around.

I don't like fake ones either. Not drawings or toys. My fear isn't nearly as extreme with fake ones but it's definitely there.

I can't stand spiderwebs either. So sticky and awful. I freak out about getting them on my skin. I don't like how they just cling to you, especially if you walk through one at face level.

I don't know if my superstition is one that is considered widespread haha XD More linked to the general superstition that if you think about bad stuff, it will happen.
I also don't like to so much as think about house fires, car crashes, plane crashes, etc etc.

My favorite pets are the ones that keep themselves, so if I go off into a spiral of depression I can safely ignore them for a while and focus on fulfilling my duties to the Elders until it passes.

So, you know, things like bee hives.

Interesting approach, so basically pets who can take care of themselves?

For me, a small dragon as a guard would be cute .w.

Yep, exactly!

Dragons sound alternatively amazing and horrifying, depending on the specific universe/lore involved... are you thinking something like the intelligent telepathic dragons of McCaffrey's Pern (firelizards, dragons, same thing, different scale), or more like the ones in Jane Yolen's Pit Dragons trilogy, or the wilder ones of Naomi Novak's Temeraire series?
