What kinda restaurants? Alan's company has been working everyone to the literal bone and just yesterday they called them all in individually so they were all scared. Turns out they apparently know they've mistreated everyone and yadda yadda - long story short - Alan's taking me to a fancy restaurant and it's on his job! They gave everyone some, um, incentives? One of which was a 150$ meal on the company! I'm excited because we're going to go to the House on the Rock for my birthday next, next weekend and we'll find a neat restaurant there.

Yeah, so restaurants? <3

I know we haven't talked much in a long time but you know Alan and I were doing IVF? Well, our first transfer is Nov.1 I should know by Nov.15th or so if we're pregnant. Keep us in your thoughts! <3

@ Lily- There's a little of everything around here now. We found a really cute Italian place the other night. The waiter was a Sommelier so we let him pair some wine with dinner, which was a new experience for us. I wasn't super duper crazy about my dinner choice because I misread and thought it came with pasta... so I had some tasty chicken in a ton of sauce with like.. nothing to use the sauce for lol. But I took most of it home so I'll make some pasta later and toss it together.

D: That sucks that they mistreated everyone so badly. At least the realized tho. In our experience companies usually just keep being jerks. =_=
But I hope you guys have a rly nice dinner! <3 (And happy early birthday? I'm not sure when it is tho, ^^; )

@_@ Kyle's work is being rly annoying lately.. They drilled into the employees that they should feel comfortable coming to managers about issues because they won't be retaliated against.. and like a few months ago kyle was using this code in the packaging (cause he does retention calls for comcast, so he has to put together packages for people a lot).. but he was unsure if the code was ok after a few uses cause it seemed like maybe it would be bad for the company. So he asked his manager if it was ok to be sure and all of a sudden the managers are like rly mad cause you're not supposed to use this code or something. But like 1/3 of the center was using it cause no one knew it was bad. And they like fired some people and put him on a 'final'.. which means that ANY small mishap could get him fired. And it's super scary cause there's a lot of small things that people get in trouble for a lot and he has to be on this for 6 months.

So we're rly mad that they told him to feel comfy coming forward about this stuff and then instead they almost fire him.... and now yesterday they decided to audit every call he's ever taken in the year he's been there and there were 2 when he was still in training when he didn't do something right (because he was learning and in training mind you).. but now they have to have the directors meet to decide if they'll fire him over that next week and it's like... seriously?! He's the #1 in sales in the entire building and like #3 in the midwest. He works so hard for them. And it feels like they don't even care. ;__;
I mean we were already upset because he keeps trying to move up, but every time he's about to they quickly change a rule so that he cant. =__=
It's just really disappointing. He's all stressed now and applying to like AT&T and Verizon and stuff just in case. I just hope they don't fire him over all this because I really feel that it's unfair. :(

Anyway, I do remember you mentioning that last time we talked! Good luck to you both, I rly rly hope it goes well!
Kyle and I didn't want kids because we were always suuuuuper poor, but with the job he has now we decided to maybe try for one next year... but now I'm kinda worried with his job situation. =_= maybe I got too greedy in happiness or something. ugh... sorry to complain so much.. I don't rly have anyone to talk to lololol :mcdead:

Aww Raine, don't be sorry for talking. I don't have people to talk to either so seriously, talk to me! Don't be sorry!

Sucks about his job - I think a lot of companies just see employees as fodder and they don't seem to have much regard for their employees lives. I'm sorry, I hope things are okay. Like Sunlight said, he should probably start looking elsewhere because eventually he'll find a place he can be happier and be treated better. It really makes all the difference to a persons life if they don't have to dread work.

Companies literally can't function without employees so I don't get why it's so common to treat them badly?? :mcconf:

Idk why it was ok to fire someone for something that happened almost a year ago in training.... but w/e
he's got an interview with xerox on tuesday. here's hoping @_@

we were rly mad for a bit but I think we're ok for now. He's got like 2 months of pay still coming since he had a lot of vacation time still.

I'm mostly just bitter because normally they give you a chance to quit first, but they waited until he was off for a day to fill out the paperwork so he didn't even have the option. >:(
And he rly loved that job. He was always happy coming home and stuff so I'm even more upset that they didn't even care...
