I've done some long term via private Yahoo Group, Live Journal, Forum, PM systems, and AIM.

Aha, I keep getting interrupted from my mid-term. My aunt turned on a horror show and wouldn't turn it off, so I read from my Japanese expressions book to the baby, since it has pictures in it. XD; He was playing with my library textbook before... er, it's a little textbook. :X

Don't worry, I've gotten in trouble here before. XD; Man, I accidentally banned half the forum on here before when I tried to get rid of spambot. It was not a very pretty moment for me. And of course, for some reason, I always get in trouble with the vault for accidentally refreshing pages. It doesn't happen too often, but at least once every couple months. I can be pretty careless; I've bought doubles of shop items before because of it. DX

Hm, I don't even think to watch for those things, because usually it seems like sites have a safe guard. I guess I should be careful.

I got done with this little assignment I need for tomorrow, but on Wednesday I have to turn in a long paper. I'm not sure if it's any good. My original intro was boring (my teacher pointed that out for me.) But I'm not sure how extreme I should go with it... I always worry about doing stuff that's too "in your face," but in this class it seems like that's the thing.

*makes a face* Ugh, I forgot that this midterm requires a two-page paper.

How long is a long paper? Aha, yeah, when it comes to writing papers, it seems that you always have to adjust to your instructor's liking. My friend got angry because her first teacher liked her writing style just fine, but that teacher was later replaced by another who thought that my friend's style was too sarcastic. I remember also getting irritated because my teacher asked me to write something for an assignment that I didn't agree with. It wasn't so bad, however, that I couldn't BS it.

My teachers have been fairly decent this semester, but yes, they all want something different. The funny thing is, they talk like they don't, but they really do. I can BS most of my papers and pass, not that I get terribly good grades and I guess I should be trying harder in my upper division classes. I think after this core English class I'm going to go completely Composition or Journalism. At my school English is literature and literary theory. And it's kind of irritating figuring out what an English teacher wants, when comp and Journalism teachers have it pretty set-in-stone, figure out.

"Why did I get C+ on my paper?"
English Professor: "You stuck too close to the topic."
...
"Why did I get C_ on my paper?"
History Professor: "You didn't stick to the topic close enough."

I hope you got your homework done on time, Mika! Which Lion King were you getting distracted by?

Lol, that is English Professors in a nutshell! My English professor gave me a "B-" but he gives us a second grade that's the grade he thinks we deserved and he gave me a C+

Yeah, exactly. Why can't he just average it? I think English Profs have to be odd like that. It validates their existence.

It seems kind of paradoxical that those who work in crappy jobs or labor don't have to be validated, but the "intelligent" people do...

I don't know about that; it's more of the sort of thing that varies among individuals.
