Omg! Okay story: My oldest niece Alice was conceived in Hawaii. Not born nor lived there. Grandma calls her Tiki or Tiki Monster and she does this cute little attack called the "Tiki Attack". Anyways my daughter was watching Aloha Scooby Doo. There's a tiki monster in it. My daughter looks at me and says: Mom, is that the tiki monster? Me: Yes. Joslyn: But it doesn't look like baby Alice. XD I about died! That was so cute.

You would think she would know how old you are.


That's so silly. What an interesting nickname for a kid.

Inside the card she wrote, "Guess it's been that long since we've talked." or something like that x.x I hate passive agressive-look at me statements. Like, it was my birthday! Why are you making this about you!

I try to avoid my mom like the plague.

I don't talk to her very much. It was just me and my mom for 13 years, I got married and moved away (because I had to because of living costs and the job market), and she basically says I was her best friend and I ruined her life by moving away. Like... be friends with your kid but don't be a dependant of your kid x.x

rebecca: The last time I owned a pet was in elementary school... so I'm not as attached to animals as much as others :o

And then you throw in the religious and the grandkid aspect x.x Which she asks about every time we do talk, which has led to less talks. "When was the last time you went to church? You know, if you're having trouble, a church will help. Have you given any more thought to having kids?"
"No, no and no, mom. Stop."
I consider myself a spiritual person, I do not feel the need to attend a church where I'll be judged by what I wear, how much I donate, how well I sing and how often I attend or don't attend x.x I get that enough with having a job XD

I don't like churches either.
