Well, if you showed me the first two I would definitely guess either basilisk or cockatrice, but the last thing just makes me think, "snake as per an ophidiophobe"

I also play DnD so I think of the snakey kind of basilisk there as well.

I tried to look up the origin of snake like basilisks but I couldn't find anything. I didn't look very hard. I'm not great at google-fu.
