Yeah, dehumidifiers help with preventing mold. I need to get myself a couple.

If you ever need to humidify your home don't waste money on a humidifier. Just boil some water on the stove.

Sounds dangerous. Don't forget to wear pads. lol. And a helmet.

It's good you're teaching her.

I have very fragile skin. So any scratches for me can lead to lots of bleeding and scars. No fun.

I just bought a few new fans. One of my old ones gave up the ghost. lol.

I have mixed feelings about ceiling fans. I also have an irrational fear that they will fall on me. I like that they help with circulating air. And some of them are set up weird so that they make the lights flicker. Flickering lights trigger migraines for me. I don't like those.

Lights in general trigger my migraines, sunlight being the worse. It's tough being a crepuscular/nocturnal human in a diurnal society...

Flickering lights have the purpose of setting off my anxiety, especially after watching Supernatural. I don't know how or why past me thought it would be a good idea to watch that show...

So...one of my friends did a shamanic astrology chart for me and apparently I was a roguish prince in my last life.

I'm in the UK! One of the hottest bits actually. Up until this summer my county had the highest temperature ever recorded XD We just got pipped by a small amount this year.

I'm also very nocturnal. So is my husband. He works at night.

No matter how many times we tell people that we prefer stuff at night they just don't understand. Like every time his grandparents ask us what time we got up they're shocked that we say around 12pm. Like if he got up super early then he wouldn't get any sleep. Jeez.

I'm not made nervous by flickering lights. I just don't like them.
I've watched most of Supernatural, I really like it. It's so ridiculous. lol. And Castiel is ridiculously hot. Yum yum.

That sounds interesting. I don't really believe in that kind of stuff but I think that it would be fun to have that done. Just to see what they would say?

You poor thing. I'm sorry things are so very hot there lately. The weather is completely out of control.

And our stupid cheeto president bitch won't do anything about it. It's awful. Every day is bad bad news. It just keeps getting worse. I can't deal with it.

I am so jealous. I can barely make it to 9:30 anymore before bed is calling me. It doesn't help I have a dog that won't go to bed by himself and bothers me until I do. And both my dogs want up my 6:00-6:45 every day. Last weekend they actually allowed me to sleep in until 9. I didn't know what to do with myself. I blame my old soul draining job that made me so tired and always wanting to go to bed early.

I had a ghost sound the other night while I was in my reading room reading. Freaked me out, went and checked everything and went to my bedroom and locked that door because I'm still not okay after my ghost footsteps incident a month ago.

I'm actually rewatching Supernatural at the minute haha. The early seasons I have seen 5 or 6 times now. At uni I would meet up with one of my friends and we would just sit around in her house watching Supes with dinner or while editing our work (I studied photography). Very nostalgic series for me :3

You have ghosts? :mcomg: How are you so sure?
I often get weird cracking noises from the kitchen, but I blame it on the fact that the furniture there is pretty old and probably just settling. I also live in an apartment, so I'm trying to be reasonable xD

Well, I just mean weird sounds you can't place find a source. My old house, the one my mom still lives in, I'm 99% sure it was haunted by my grandpa. My brother had it worse. He was haunted by his friend who died while in the service. My brother would wake up to him poking his back.

My mom never believed us. One time I was in the basement home alone with our 3 dogs and I heard doors open and close and footsteps across the floor. The dogs went crazy thinking someone was home. Usually when my mom or someone got home and I was on the basement they would open the door to let the dogs upstairs. No one did and then the phone ranged and I have to go upstairs to answer so I went and no one was upstairs. Freaked me right out. Took me a really long time after that to go in the basement when no one was home.

Rubie - It's pretty inconvenient to live a night life though. All the stores around here close at 12am so we can't really grocery shop during the week. And all the government stuff and doctors and things like that are always closed too. Lame sauce.

Sounds scary. Though, I don't think that locking a door will help prevent ghosts. lol. If it makes you feel better, I think I've heard that most ghosts are pretty chill. They're just lonely and want to find a way to communicate with the living.

I don't really believe in ghosts but I think it's fun to hear stories about them.

jacobgrey - I've watched it soooo many times too. lol. It's something that's nice to have going on in the background. I don't need to pay attention but it is interesting when I do.

I do the same thing with Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. Though they took them off on Netflix. They are on Hulu. Yay!

memoriam - Oh yah. There's always weird noises in apartments.

Didn't even think about that part. We do have some 24 hour stores around (I'm thinking about our Walmart, but then, I try to avoid grocery shopping their some months, but it's bigger and has more variety than the Kroger that's nearby).

I know, it just makes me feel safer, but that was in response to what sounded like walking on hardwood floors and after checking to make sure everything was still locked and no one was hiding in closets or the basement. I really do need to get something to protect myself with. I don't mind if the ghosts were chill, just don't do creepy stuff to scare me.

I like hearing ghost stories too. I used to watch a lot of paranormal shows on tv (the original ghost hunters were my bois)
