It depends on the rules of the textures. Most textures you can find online say things like say "For personal use only". Since the art from this contest can be used for this site, it won't be used for your "personal" use only though. So, if you wish to use a texture, make sure the creator of it 1) has the rights to that texture 2.) allows the texture to be used for all possible uses.

Another question: does the size of the picture matter? I drew mine too small... it's only 672 by 686 pixels

The pencils didn't have the right colours so she's a bit off from the original (I tried to stay as close as possible though)... Is that a very big problem?
You could always scan it and then try to change the colours with a program like GIMP or a freeware. Those programs are made for photo editing, so Im sure with a little bit of playing around you could get the colour right ;]

I'd love to take a crack at it, but i deal best with traditional media and since i lack a scanner that kind of rules out all my good stuff lol
I guess i could give my tablet a shot =/ (its been a lil iffy since i dropped the pen about a month ago)

You could always take a picture Born 8D And have you tried replacing the nib in the tablet? I dropped my pen a while back and it was just that the nib got wonky, or even just pulling it out and putting it back in can help sometimes.

Am I utterly insane for considering a Nympharia cross-stitch? >.> More importantly, would it fit in the rules? (I probably wouldn't have time to finish it starting at this late date, anyway, but....)

can someone please tell me where to get a tablet thingy and how much it would cost?
AND... if i drew a picture with pencil and paper, how would i get it on the computer?

You can get a tablet from every big electronic store, but also from places like ebay and amazone. They start at $25.
If you draw the art on paper you need a scanner to get it on your computer.
